iPhone 5 300MB data plan users

I'm on the 300mb plan, other than in the car which is only a 20 min commute I use wifi. The rest of the time does not add up that much and lte isn't in my area yet. I had a friend show up unannounced to visit one day and she was constantly texting her sister. I thought it was really rude. If I'm out I'm not checking the internet all the time
 
My wife has 300 MB. She never goes over. But, she is near wifi 97% of the time and when we are together we use my iphone with unlimited data for anything intensive, like streaming music or video.
 
I'm using a 200MB plan. Just don't stream video or music unless you are on WiFi, and manually download email. It's pretty easy to stay under 200MB.

I don't understand why. There's no need.

I have WiFi at work and at home. I still post photos, check facebook, read email, text with iMessage (no texting plan), and read forums on the go. I have a 32GB iPhone, and I have most of my music on it, and download podcasts while on WiFi. I also don't download apps, music, or stream video unless I'm on WiFi. And I am most of the time.

The result is that my AT&T Family plan only costs me $87 a month, with 2 iPhones (1 200MB plan and 1 300MB plan).

Feel sorry for the people spending close to a car payment per month on their phone plan, not me.
 
even if I was on wi-fi all the time I can't relax knowing I only have 300mb. i would need atleast 1gb, to cover any freak accidents that might happen like being away for a while.
