I'm getting an SE, but can't yet decide the colour.....My current old 5 is silver and I really love it, but it seems the SE should be different. Is this such a 1st World problem to have ;) Now I'm a little embarrassed, but only a little.
Rose Gold~~

If you like RG then get it. It's your phone at the end of the day. I was going to get the RG 6S when it launched but they were out of stock so I went for Silver instead.

I ordered the Gold in the end, I always wanted the Gold 5S when it came out but could never find one so I felt I had to. :D

Proof? That's what I thought too, but no. There were never any silicone cases by Apple for the iPhone 5s. Only 5c and 6.

I couldn't find any info on it so maybe I was wrong but for some reason I was sure that Apple had offered silicone cases for the iphone 5/5s.

You are wrong, not maybe wrong.. The 5S never had an official silicone case.

Check out the Rhinoshield Crash Guard. I own one to protect my iPhone 6s. Just got another one for my SE. Be sure to scroll down the page for applicable coupon codes.

I had one of these for a 5s and I really didn't care for it.

Compared to the Official Apple Bumpers for the 4 series and the Chinese Bumpers you can get off eBay for newer models, the Rhino bumpers really add a lot of bulk to the phone.

It just isn't minimal enough, which is definitely a consideration for me when using a bumper.

Yes, your old iPhone 5s case will fit on the new iPhone SE
I'm really glad they did this. (I remember when the 5S and 5C came out, all the 5S ones fit the 5, but the 5C ones had different curves on the corners, so not all cases would fit). Personally I think the 5 / 5S standard was better anyway, and more people generally supported cases and accessories for it. But thanks for confirming that the SE definitely is the 5S shape. I haven't got my new SE yet, but there are certain cases I really liked for my 5S, so it means I'll still be able to use the same kind. All of Apple's images look like even the button shapes, sizes, and port placements are identical to the 5S, but you know, you can never be sure just by looking at pics (a few milimeters out in any direction would have totally ruined my chances of using the same one), so it's good to hear from people that have actually got the phone already. Quick question though.. How are you finding it s far? I know it's supposed to be faster spec slightly, but do you really notice the difference, or is it quite a subtle change?

I'm really upset about this! (Not really...) But all the cheap brand cases that I could purchase for my iPhone 5 have now gone back up to full price.

The good thing is, if I do upgrade to the iPhone SE - All my Mophie accessories will work with the phone!

All good Daria...

I guess I just assumed that with a new "nearly flagship" spec'd 4" iPhone out that they'd want to capitalize and sell lots of high margin accessories, including a Silicone case option.. They even went so far as to add new colors of cases for the 6/6s/plus/etc models...

Might go back to my Chinese Bumper cases that I still have from my 5s days I guess.. :-(

What brand of bumper case is it? Any good? Thanks

Spigen used to be--don't know now.

RhinoShield has gotten a lot of positive attention.

I had the rhino Shield bumper for my 5S and it was way too bulky. I think it was likely due to their emphasis on being able to drop the phone in the case, whereas I just wanted something that would protect the corners back and screen when you put it on surfaces and add as little heft as possible.

I don't find it too bulky at all. Was using the wife's new SE with it on last night and was very pleased. It has 11' advertised drop protection and the perfect amount of lip for my taste.

I'm tempted to get one for my iPhone 6.

Each to his own.

I totally agree. I also bought the Rhinoshield Crash Guard and Playproof for my iPhone 6s and the Crash Guard for my iPhone SE. I only use the Playproof for rugged activities; the Crash Guard for daily use. I prefer bumper cases and I found the the Rhinoshield Crash Guard to be the most durable that has a perfect fit on the iPhone among the bumper cases that I have tried. It does not any loose edges and corners even after several washing.
