You could, but I would just use the phone as you normally would, and keep an eye on capacity.

You might find that it doesn't get any higher, but it may stay in the range of 97-98% for long time, battery chemicals are still a pretty imprecise tech.

From my perspective, if it reliably reports the percentage, and gives you roughly the appropriate usage without prematurely shutting down, I'd be very happy. :)

Okay, thanks. :)

Does anyone know of any articles or anything with tips about good battery practice to keep cycle counts low/battery life lasting longer?

As someone said before, the only way to keep battery cycles low is to not use the phone. But as the following graph shows, the way you charge your phone makes all difference in battery life.

My advice: Charge the battery as often as you can, stay away from 100% and 0%.
I usually charge the phone when it reaches 60%-50%, and try to charge it to ~90%. My phone is 3 years old and still retains 94% of its original capacity, with an average of 0,7 cycles per day, i often charge it twice a day.

Can u post the result showed by battery life a new app in App Store

Is this the App you pointed out?

Seem's like all Apps give diferent numbers, Battery health sometimes says 98%, others 91%. But calculating from the mAh, i get 94,6%.

So on my almost 2 years old iPhone 6 I'm getting the following reading. Is it alright or poor?! I have no idea how it should look...

Battery

CycleCount: 463
DesignCapacity: 1751
FullChargeCapacity: 1300
Status: Success
BatteryCurrentCapacity: 100
BatteryIsCharging: false
ExternalChargeCapable: true
ExternalConnected: true
FullyCharged: true
GasGaugeCapability: true
HasBattery: true

king so much worse than many older phones here that I wonder what I've been doing wrong all this time. What's worse is that it looks like my AppleCare just e

Is Battery Health still on the market? I don't see it - I realize the posts are from 2015 so this is an older thread.

It's been pulled (but there are a few other similar alternatives): https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/battery-health-going-out-of-business-☹️.1960795/

That said, seems like the results from all those apps kind of fluctuate and short of some actual serious issues with the battery where really low numbers would show up, it's hard to really say how good, or basically how meaningful the numbers (or at least the main potential capacity degradation numbers) are.

That's ~74% of it's original capacity. Seems low to me.

Yes that's the app I have 92 percent to 95 in early days after so much heat and used while charge it went down to 89 to 84 never been goes back

I often use mine while charging, so your loss isn't from that. The heat, on the other hand, could be the problem, Li-Ion batterys don't like it. I toasted my MacBook battery a few years ago in a hot summer day, it swelled up and never went back to its original form. Had to buy a new one.

Could someone else with a 2 years old phone try this and confirm what their battery life is like?!
In my possession I have the following:
iPhone 6s plus 227 charge cycles 94%-95% capacity left.
iPhone SE 36 charge cycles still 100% capacity.
iPhone 6 357 charge cycles 93% capacity left.
iPhone 5s 135 charge cycles 90% capacity left.

Right. I need to get it to the Apple Store then I suppose.
