After reading the previous posts my battery isn't bad at all! You should post your battery charging habits so we could understand how to maximize its life. I always charge the phone when he gets to 50% - 40% sometimes even higher than that. And rarely reach 20%.

Doesn't you notice a massive drain with the new iOS?
Not really. Most people aren't noticing much one way or another, while others see somewhat better battery life (especially with the help of Low Power Mode), while of course there will be some who will see some battery issues at times, as is often the case with any update, especially a major (x.0 one).

Hi,
My iPhone 5s is on iOS 9.1 and I checked the batter stats today found that the FullChargeCapacity is 1600, which is over its DesignCapacity 1550 after 347 cycles. I understand that sometimes the actual capacity may go slightly higher than the design one, but after 347 cycles?! Is this possible? I have been using this phone for about 14 months. Thanks.

CycleCount: 347
DesignCapacity: 1550
FullChargeCapacity: 1600
Status: Success

Hi I've recently had a problem with my iPhone 5s, I started noticing massive battery drainage after 9.0.2, the phone itself overheats a lot and the battery last a few hours. I really don't use significant energy consuming apps so I know storage, usage or performance is not the issue here. I was used to go to sleep with my phone at 100% battery and wake up 8 hours later with maybe 90% and after updating to 9.0.2 and later to 9.1 after 8 hours of standby the battery is completely dead. It is a second hand phone and I've had it for about 8 months so I know the previous user let it drop to 0% and began full cycles all over again. Here's the ibackuprobot log and a screenshot of the time since the last full charge

CycleCount: 817
DesignCapacity: 1550
FullChargeCapacity: 1400
Status: Success

I know the cycle count is pretty bad, but the full charge capacity and design capacity isn't as bad as I thought it would be..., I mean, I restored it hoping it was a software issue, but here I am writing this post to find out if my battery is dying haha

thanks for the help!

Don't worry, I get that amount after one year of use.

Really? I thought it's a bit high, but it lasts the whole day without a charge. I'm very happy with my battery life considering I've had it for a year and 4 months. I'm confident it will last until I get the iPhone 7 :D

I used to charge my iPhone 5 twice a day, that's 730 charge cycles in 12 months.
I charged my 6+ once a day, sometimes twice, so that's around 400 cycles over the course of a year. It's the same for my 6S+, I'm charging it once a day and occasionally I'll do so twice.

My iPhone 5, the one changed by Apple with the program, had 200+ cycles but it was jumping battery capacities on its own, shutting down at 10%. Decided to change the battery myself. Its that bad.

You were using up full 100% of the battery more than twice every day with iPhone 5?

Yup. I used to get roughly 6 hours out of my i5. I get almost double that from my 6S+ and still take it down to 1% every day...

Curious. What would be the standby if it seems that you are using your phone for about 12 hours each day day?

It's around 20 hours. I charge overnight on a 4-hr timer, so the phone has been off the charger approx 4 hours before I get up.

So from your actual awake time of about 16 hours you'd use your phone for 12 of those?

My 2 year old iPhone 5S is looking so much worse than many older phones here that I wonder what I've been doing wrong all this time. What's worse is that it looks like my AppleCare just expired... :(

Hey what app is that? Looks pretty good!
It's called Battery Health. It's got a bunch of stats including some cool charger information. Only catch is it's not free, I paid a couple of bucks for it (I can't see how much for some reason, stupid App Store won't let me now that I've bought it). Either $2 or $3...

Cool! Yeah I found it, it's 2.99. Not too bad. I'll buy it next time I get a iTunes gift card. (Wish there was a way to get it online!!) I like that it tells you the battery temp! That's pretty cool!
