Battery life seems to be improving with use and a few conditioning cycles. Definitely better than my 4S, but I have LTE disabled since its not avail in my area.

So, what your saying is that you literally used the phone non stop with the screen on for 12 of the 15 hours. I highly doubt it. That's exactly what my phone said, yet I was using only the iPod to listen to music. In that scenario, you should get 40 hours of usage, not 12.

The Standby time is how long the phone has been on since you unplugged it from a full charge. The usage is how often the CPU is active. Yesterday at 11:30am I was at 2% remaining battery and had 7.5 hours of usage and 8 hours of standby. Today, at 1pm, having used the phone exactly like I did yesterday (minus the 30 minutes of Nike+) yesterday with the replacement, Im at 7 hours on Standby, 3 hours 30 minutes on usage with 49% battery left. And it's 2 hours later right now. If you think your batteries working fine, keep it. You shouldn't have to plug in your phone mid day with the battery that's in this phone, period.

The screen doesn't have to be on to accrue usage stats. A lot of that was streaming music in the car with the screen off. But yes, it was the first day I got the phone and I used it for 12 hours within a 15 hour period. I'd say screen time was about 7 of it.

My normal stats are now evening out to about 7 hours usage, 1 day standby time with mostly LTE audio streaming and wifi web browsing.

I think this is the issue that KidStallyn is speaking about.. the phone is accruing the same usage as standby time which means it's not shutting off properly or you used it 14 hours straight (latter is possible but unlikely).

Yeah I think there was something wrong with that charge cycle. Here's an updated one.

I should get 40 hours just listening to the iPod according to the specs. That's basically all I'm doing. I'm not streaming music here via Pandora or anything else. If my 20 twitter updates is what drained the battery, that's ridiculous.

so you thought you bought a ipod touch?:)

Battery life is way worse than iPhone 4, I feel duped.

I've had my iPhone 4 for two years, and my iPhone 5 for less than a week. Not only did it come out of the box with nicks all over the metal rim, 5 of them, the battery life plain sucks- even after resetting everything etc. I make use of it the same way I made use of my iPhone 4, no more and no less. So I ran a test, and this is what I came up with- roughly same use- even more on the 4 and there you have it.

iPhone 4 battery life is great on iOS 6 for me. Over 2days life. Only takes 45-50mins to charge back upto 100%. Very happy this end

Great usage considering you're plugged in. As the kid above also stated.

I wasn't plugged into anything :S. That was just a little while ago before I had to go charge it. I only plug it into my comp for maybe 2mins every day to transfer 2/3 songs. I actually charge it when it gets to 1% which is every 2days

Idk if this is considered good or not..but this is my first iphone..I have the 4s..I have turned off everything that is said to save battery life..I have been reading threw the pages on this forum for over an hour on 4g.

I love the phone..but my previous piece of crap Samsung could go a week without being charged

Mine has been improving as well. Got the phone on launch day and went through about 3 or 4 calibration/charge cycles

I haven't done a full drain and charge since I purchased mine on Friday so I'm hoping that'll improve the battery a bit

Do these "Usage" stats really mean anything?

Usage could mean Internet, gaming, simple texting. Also, cell signal strength also has a huge impact on battery life as well as brightness settings, location services being used etc etc. Unless each person gives a detailed breakdown of how they used their phones exactly, none of these screenshots are worth comparing IMO
