Here's an update on how mines holding up today. Stayin' strong :]

That's crazy - I have nearly identical usage and standby times, and I'm at 30% right now. That's with less than 15 minutes of light LTE browsing (the rest has all been on wifi), maybe an hour to hour and a half of talk and no bluetooth, no music and no video.

Lets see here. So iam on My phone now. Probably a stupid question but how do I upload The pic from here?

You can't. I always found this to be a stupid problem. On my S3 I can just hit upload and the phone pulls up a whole menu of options to choose what file I wish to upload.

Wifi, LTE, text, few phone calls, random apps.

64GB white AT&T... wifi for most of the day (LTE off)...normal light web browsing, a few texts, a few short phone calls, a couple of checkins on Foursquare, Words With Friends, SongPop, probably 45 mins of streaming SiriusXM, about 12 email accounts on push, updating and installing 10 apps....and i setup my phone NOT as new. YMMV.

16GB AT&T LTE and WiFi. Safari, text, email, Facebook, no games and no music. pretty damn good if you ask me. I actually couldn't get this thing to die and I was at 1% for 20mins until I decided to take a screen shot then plug it in. I love this battery.

But hey, I managed :)

Just download photobucket off the AppStore then youre good to go. From there you can upload any pic on your device and then doubletap the image to get the link. Simple!

Another update on my battery today. I'm going to bed and this thing is sittin' with half the battery still. Outstanding.

I posted my first charge some posts earlier. Still on my second charge. a day and a half + 8 hours of use. Gotta say this phone is almost doubling the battery life I had with the 4S. AMAZING!

Hi. This screenshot is from yesterday. Today I have similar numbers.

I can see that things are going better for most of you after some complete cycles of full-charging/full-draining. Isn't it?

I'm at 35% with 6 hours of usage and 23 hours of standby. This is with LTE on for all but 5 minutes when I decided to try something at work, wifi on, location services on and used in a low signal area during work hours. That's what's done most of the damage. At home my battery doesn't go down nearly as quick. I'm happy with my battery life.

does playing games drain the battery a lot? i was happy with the battery life until i started playing super mamc and my battery dies really fast now

Yes. What I have done was I put it in airplane mode while playing a game. It helps even more if you are underground (subway, train etc) and there is no service as that really eats the battery while it searches for a signal.

I can't tell if my iPhone 5 is dying faster than it should or if I am just using it far more. I am sort of thinking the former, but I'd like to see how others are faring.

It's odd, some periods it drains fast and than others it drains slow.

Before turning auto brightness off:
Getting this as well, when am non-stop using it.

With auto brightness off:
It gets better with over 5 hours including playback of a movie in Netflix and over 0 hours standby.

And it's 4G all the time and Location Services ON.

My battery sux ass. I've disabled virtually everything. Turned Wi-Fi off. disabled LTE since it's not available in my area, only 4G until the end of the year. Siri turned off. All I did was go running for 30 mins and use Nike+, twitter and facebook throughout the day, and listen to music (not streamed). I took it off the charger at 5am and by 4:51pm I was down to 1%. Usage was 7 hours 29 minutes and 12 hours 4 minutes of standby. That's significantly worse then my 4. I'm going to re-load the iOS6 tonight with what I had iTunes download last night.

I took it off the charger at the same time as yesterday (5am) and right now I'm at 39% battery life. 4:51 of standby and 3:59 of usage. I'm not even using the internet.

You average 7 1/2 hours and your complaining?, I would luv to get that as my usage

I should get 40 hours just listening to the iPod according to the specs. That's basically all I'm doing. I'm not streaming music here via Pandora or anything else. If my 20 twitter updates is what drained the battery, that's ridiculous.

Haha I was annoyed when it won't die / takes forever (and I wanted it to drain completely) at 1%.

On my iP4, once it's 2% it'll die right away when you do / click something.

Test it with everything off / as in everything shutdown you do not need to play iTunes (or including at airplane mode on) except the iTunes.

Screen off all the time, wi-fi, location services, auto brightness, LTE ... Everything off!

Why is everyone turning their auto-brightness off?

As I understand it (http://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/10a9p0/til_how_the_ios_6_auto_brightness_works/), and as I've experienced with my phone, when you turn auto-brightness on (iOS6 only) and set the slider to a preferred brightness level in your current environment, it will "remember" that preference and adjust accordingly.

So, for example, I set my slider to around 50% in my brightly lit office. In anything less bright than my office, the auto-brightness lowers the brightness of my display to some level below 50%. The only time it goes above 50% is if I'm in direct sunlight, in which case it goes up to roughly 75% or so (presumably it doesn't go to 100% because it factors in the fact that my preferred setting in a brightly lit environment is only around 50%). In terms of my daily use, I'm probably in environments roughly equal to my office about 50% of the time, in darker environments about 40% of the time and in brighter environments about 10% of the time. As a result, my average display brightness level throughout the day should be far less than it would be if I turned off auto-brightness and just kept it at a constant 50% all day, which should, in turn, mean better battery life.

Everything is off, except data. I'll turn that off next. I literally just had to plug in at 2%. Since I posted last at 11:4am EST to now all I've done is listen to the iPod. Went from the 40 something % to 2%. That's totally unacceptable. I beginning to think I have a bad battery.
