iPhone 5 battery life?

Mines not doing good. Did a few calcs and based on apples 225 hour standby and 8 hour usage we should be losing about 0.5% an hour on standby and 12.5% an hour of usage.

So since last full charge I have 1:45 hours standby and 30 mins usage, I should have dropped around 7%... I've dropped 11%. That is over 60% WORSE than claimed... WTF

I am on 3G (No LTE here!), nothing special going on, few emails (push), text message and facebook checked. Bit poor, I hope this can be resolved soon!

In fact based on my usage I can expect a MAX 135 Hours standby OR 4.8 hours usage. Thats not great!

I'm not too sure about this, but has the phone carrier got to do with battery?

I did a full discharge/charge cycle and got

7h 50m usage
1d 1h standby

What amazed me is that the last 1% lasted 50 minutes. I was sitting there shouting at it to die so I could do another full charge cycle :)

On iPhone 5 it is: Settings >privacy> location Services>System Services then turn off diagnostic & usage ,genius for apps, location based iAds and setting time zone. You won't use that unless you travel and if you do just manually turn it on.
Big increase in battery life

I always have everything on. BT, WiFi, Location Services, you name it. I'm getting a solid 6-6.5 hours of usage with 14-18 hours of standby by the time I hit 2%.

So as good, probably better than, my 4S.

Now that many of us have had it for a week, the battery should be conditioned. Battery life has greatly fluctuated for me. When on LTE, usage as low as 4.5 hours and up to 7. While I didn't expect the battery to last as long as my iPhone 4 (even after using it for over 2 years) would hope the iPhone 5 would be closer. But yeah, if they kept the same thickness as the iPhone 4/4s, imagine how much larger a battery would fit. 15 hours usage possibly? This would have been a bigger selling point vs thinnest smartphone.

What do those 3 categories do when turned on?
