Hey,

Just registered as I have this problem.

I was using my camera fine last night in a club and it was working fine. However, I tried to take some pictures earlier and like others have reported it is out of sync and very dull pictures come out.

Hopefully it's only software related.

Do you think it could be anything to do with torch apps?

Here we go again, i tried everything, soft, hard reset, restore ... it works a moment and then it starts again ... and I do it with 2 Iphones...

Me too...

Mine is doing this too. I restarted my phone and it worked fine again but it'll probably get out of sync again.

Same thing happened to me. I thought it was bizarre.... I haven't tried a reset but I will now.

Same issue here, flash is out of sync.

A reboot fixed the issue immediately. Seems this is another software bug Apple needs to sort out.

Wow I just noticed I have this issue but it was working fine the first day I got it.

Did a reboot and it's now fixed. Hope a real fix comes in 6.0.1.

i posted about this yesterday, was advised to do a reboot which did fix the problem.
but today it is back again. :(
it seems if it was a just a software issue with iOS 6, wouldn't everyone have this issue?

I think that everyone has this issue, they just haven't noticed yet.
Even after a reboot the flash works ok for 5-6 pictures and then gets out of sync. Apple needs to fix this ASAP.

I have found out that a reboot isn't even needed. Just end the camera app and try again. It will work for three four times and then fail again.

I found this thread on Apple discussion forums: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4327675

Someone says that a full discharge solves the issue. I will try it today

So, a full recharge doesn't solve the issue. After three, four shots the flash gets out of sync. The solution is to kill the camera app and start it again.

I tested again. Only a reboot helps, but for the moment I will be using Camera+
It allows to have the flash light on when taking a pic...

Same problem here, I've tried everything suggested on the Apple discussion threads (including wiping the phone & setting up from scratch) & the problem just keeps coming back!

Same thing HERE! Plus I loose the clicking sound when I text alot as well! Have to sestart the phone and it comes back! Looks like this iphone 5 is not worth all the headaches it brings! Took them BOTH back to veriozon yesterday and KEEPING our 4's on ATT... Ahhh NO MORE DRAMA!

Nothing here people, time to move on to another pointless thread. This is clear case of early adopters being OCD about something so irrelevant.

God people like you are useless.

Back on topic, this issue is slowly becoming widespread so it's either a glitch in os6 as most reports are random hit and misses or it could be a Hardware issue in which case a fatass recall is on its way haha

I think it is a software (timing) bug. I often take pictures of my daughter (2 years old) in the dark. The flash comes on but the picture taken is completely black.

It's kind of funny that they somehow missed it.

Not my intention. Just can't believe how ridiculous some people are. Instead of worrying about an irrelevant issue, why not enjoy your phone?

Restore it as new and if that doesn't work, exchange it, but the jokes on you as you'll be waiting a few weeks.

I dont' have this issue and for what I see a reboot fixed it. Just came in here out of curiosity.

I wanna say though: You do realize that the led flashing before the picture is taken is a serious issue, right? Not some guy getting an iPhone replaced because it's 1g heavier than expected...

Quite possibly the most moronic post I've seen by a fanboy yet! This is an issue. Mine does it as well and makes taking pictures in low light pointless. It's clear the shutter fires before the flash does. Take a picture at night and the result is NO picture to see. If you think that's irrelevant then your blind anyway.

Well you have fun returning your defective iPhone. Good luck getting another. Hahaha

I was wrong. Your first post was indeed NOT the most moronic fanboy comment yet. The above is!

Intent or not, you are a troll! How do you find this issue irrelevant? Apparently you're ok with the phone not working as it should. Hey, if your cool with that have at it but it sounds like if thats the case the jokes really on you.

Had the same issue. A reboot resolved for me. Also I did a fresh setup as new and it has not returned.
