I was regarding smaller revisions. Think 3G>3GS

And? You said a 'radical redesign can throw off your audience'. Apple made a radical redesign and it didn't 'throw off' customers. Doesn't matter that they didn't make a radical redesign before...they made it, and it was successful. So it's not out of the question that there could be another redesign and it's silly to say it could 'throw off the audience'. Keeping it the same certainly could turn people away as well. I don't want anything to do with the 4, and if the '5' remains largely the same, I'll be passing on it.

Impressive? Taking a design that Apple spent millions on getting to the iPhone 4 state as we know it, and then copying it exactly, just making it a little thinner, wider, with a slightly larger screen? My 10 year old daughter could do that...

I agree with you. While I can appreciate the OP's time in these renderings, the deisgn is nothing new. It looks identical to the iPhone 4 only thinner with a wider screen. I mean, I can simply imagine that in my head. There's no "new" design in that rendering.

Personally I like the design of the iPhone 4, so mab that's why I tend to like mockups like this which show slight changes. In any case, I like how you left a very narrow bezel on the sides of the screen. Too many mockups have an edge to edge screen and it just looks terrible.

The concept pictures are pretty good.

Although, I would say that in light of recent case leaks and rumors, I'm leaning more towards a curved back instead of the flat back of the iPhone 4. But otherwise the thinness of less than 7mm is about right.

Impressive stuff. I got to thinking that a capacitive Home button would be triggered too easily by mistake so I don't know how that would work in real world settings, it'd be interesting to see that's for sure.

But I think we're all on the notification light boat.

But perhaps the capactitance of the home button would be triggered after the iPhone has been unlocked. This way, it won't make a phone call, (or whatever the gestures are for) while the iPhone's in your pocket.

Everyone talks about a notification light. I still don't think it's necessary.. but if one is added, I'd prefer it to be IN the home buttong, not around it. The white square that is currently there - make that illuminate.

That would be awesome :D
