I don't know about you all, but the quadcore 4.5inch Androids look promising to a heavy, HEAVY user such as myself. The only thing holding me back is of course my contract with my iP4 which has another year to go, and the fact that battery life is probably going to be pretty bad.

they're not quad core, they're dual core phones. The first quad-core phones/tablets won't be ready until end of year most likely by NVIDIA.

Was I talking about current phones? I kind of subliminally told you that I wouldn't be in the market for a new phone for another year. Hence my contract and me stating that 'battery life will probably be very bad'. Quadcore chips exist and will be hitting phones Q1-Q2 of 2012 which is when my contract will be ending.

Who cares who beats who? I'd rather they both have market share. Companies should always be acutely aware that the customer has a choice. Including Apple.
It is 100% better for a customer if they own the leading product.

As has been said many times, when you walk into Wal-Mart, how many Android accessories do you see? Maybe a few, but not many. Now how many iPhone accessories are there? Normally an entire wall or section dedicated to them.

Imagine those roles reversed. Trust me, market share and Apple winning in this race means A LOT to the consumer.

TL;DRI can't tell you how many countless current Android users are just waiting to drop their Android phones for the next iPhone iteration coming this October.

You're right, you can't because you don't know. Your post is just a bunch of meaningless conjecture.

You might as well be one of those analysts spewing crap trying to get a bump in their favored stock that day.

really? i posted data based on information gleamed from MacRumors and elsewhere, particularly with China Mobile/Telecom getting the iPhone5.

Andriod phones are on life support i believe....

----------

I had the samsung galaxy S last year... it really SXXXX ... used it for less than a week .. then sold it at a $100 loss....

I havent tried HTC, but samsung phones are just like a cheap toy when compare to iPhone

Nothing to see here, move along......seriously WHO CARES???????????? Is there some kind of Apple versus Android contest going on that I'm unaware of?

Sure, we may be the early adopters, guiding our clueless friends, relatives, and even strangers about the latest in the mobile industry...

Ouch.

Ouch.

Ouch.

This hurt so much I had a laughing fit.

Super ridiculous.

Why does there have to be a "comparison" all the time and that too with sentiments attached

Android OS and iOS are NOT both in the same stages of their lifecycle !!!!!!!

I own 2 iPhones/1 iPad2/1 SGS 2/1 HTC Sensation ... so do not dare flame me.

Here is the whole point ... you can compare one Android variant to another ... like from SGS2 to Sensation (even though base is same) ... what you cannot do is compare totally 2 different OSs...that will ALWAYS be subjective....

I keep jumping between my iPhone and Sensation because I get bored of one or the other in a few days of use.

On the Sensation, I am able to quick view my whole social and business life right on the screens...no APPS to jump into

Similarly, these features lack in iOS (even 5) but it has its other pros which Android still misses.

I have been Android since Froyo and iOS since v4 ... and I can tell that their jumps to next version have been no where near comparable ... again since they are not in the same matching lifecycle ...

Please read my sig before deciding to flame me !

I completely disagree! After trying the Droid Bionic I am very tempted to get that phone over the next iPhone. But I will be smart and wait to hear what the next iPhone will be and maybe wait a little longer for the Droid Prime.

TL;DR: We aren't the demographic. Your friends, parents, work buddies, and relatives are.

We keep forgetting that the most of the readers on this forum are not the target demographic for iPhone users. Sure, we may be the early adopters, guiding our clueless friends, relatives, and even strangers about the latest in the mobile industry, but sometimes we need to reorient ourselves and see the bigger picture.

I can't tell you how many countless current Android users are just waiting to drop their Android phones for the next iPhone iteration coming this October. Anytime someone asks me what phone to get, I can't help myself but say, 'just get the iPhone.' Its so much easier than saying, 'get so and so Android phone, but wait, make sure you download a, b, and c, so that you get a bit better battery life, and have a cleaner user experience.

Face it, out of the box, no other phone surpasses the iPhone in terms of ease of use. This is why J.D Power rated Apple #1 in customer satisfaction.

This all sounds like a fluff piece, but be prepared for a huge influx of new iPhone users come October. I would say more than half of current Android users that I have personally talked to are dissatisfied with their current Android/BB phone, especially WOMEN.

Now that Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and possibly T-Mobile getting the iPhone as well the number of iPhone users will skyrocket. Now look at China, with news that China Mobile and China Telecom getting the iPhone as well. This would add over 600 million potential new customers for Apple. Yeah, over 600 million subscribers, double the population of the entire United States of America. Thats Mind = Blown imo.

First of all, T-Mobile isnt getting the iPhone and the iPhone isnt nearly as big a deal in japan and China as they are here. They dont think the iPhone is anything special over there.

Personally i dont care who beats who. Compitition is good. Im going to get either a Galaxy S2 or the Nexus Prime that will come with 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

And whoever said people who buy Android are people who cant afford an iPhone is a joke. Android phones arent any cheaper(the good ones). Android just happens to have more than one model and they dont wait a full year for their one model to come out.

Go and try and buy a Galaxy S2 right now. $700-$800 to get one and they will be the same price as iPhones when they launch here.
I can afford an iPhone and had one for two years but they just dont do as much as Android does.
