Wow. Atlanta has the fastest speeds. But everyone is averaging about 20-30 megs. Not bad. Nice.

Atlanta area is crazy (AT&T at least). I was in town this evening and got 65/17. Still got 26/18 at my house in the 'burbs and that's around the average people are seeing anywhere it seems. Can't really complain!

Holy crap. You can't even buy internet for your home this fast for any price around here. How long until they drop sims into modems, and let us use these as our only connection.

We can do that here already, it's just hideously expensive.
(I think the hardware max speeds are around 40Mbps though)

FWIW, my POS ADSL got 2~5Mbps/0.6~0.8Mbps. I'm on 5Ghz 2 meters from my the Airport.

Already exists. The carriers call them mobile hotspots. Problem right now is the volume of data allowed in the plans.

Verizon LTE with 2-3 bars signal

3.0 - 6.74 mbps down -
4.0 - 9.88 mbps up

Downtown San Diego, inside building 11th floor.

I wonder what AT&T LTE speed is on my area? I should check outside later on to see if that makes any difference.

sadface

i made the switch from AT&T to Verizon in Arlington, VA and this is what I get to deal with on supposed "4G LTE" (constantly 3-5 bars)... is there anything i can do? i know there are a lot of us yuppies around here with our smartphones but come on, this is absurd!

i wrote Verizon an email wondering what the hell is going on - these are worse than 3G speeds but the iphone 5 always shows LTE.

AT&T seems to be absolutely destroying Verizon in LTE speeds (Verizon user here, averaging anywhere from 5-15 down depending on location). My friend at work was getting 45 down on AT&T. Can someone explain to me why Verizon lags so far behind? I thought they were the ring leaders behind the LTE push? There is no contest with these speeds in many markets. I'm not buying the excuse of more people on the Verizon network either, the AT&T line was huge on Friday morning, while the Verizon line I was waiting in was empty.

30 d/l 10 u/l on average have gotten as high as 42 and low as 7 on my d/ls.
But if that's as bad as it gets i'll live just fine.
I was averaging .5 d/l and .25 u/l on my iPhone 4 3G.

oh yeah, Verizon; Fond du Lac, WI

I want to know this, too.
