Cult of Mac put up a mock up of what they think the IP5 will look like. What do you guys think? I kinda like it.

I like the look of it too. I prefer the aluminum to the glass they have now.

Gonna have an issue with the headphone jack I can see. Now that I see it mocked up, it looks like it's going to be very hard to hold on to... I say no.

Looks nice. But the magnets would have to be really strong to hold the cover on when you pull the phone out of your pocket.

That is exactly what I want in the next iPhone...a smaller version of the iPad 2, with aluminum back that comes in either black or white (on the front panel).

If they go in this direction, I just hope I don't miss the ultra sexy iPhone 4 look. I honestly hope it doesn't change. This design is a one of kind piece of art. I do hope they fix the antenna issues though.

It looks nice and all, but I'm not sure if Apple would be happy with making it look like an iPod touch.

Ugly, the plastic strip on the bottom is something Apple will most likely never do again on a phone. They could at least paint it to match.

It cannot be aluminum as it will not work as a phone and Apple isn't going to put a plastic strip on the back of the iPhone ever again.

At some point, the iPhone will probably go back to its iPod+phone heritage. But I still think there is life for the phones in the current design. Wouldn't mind seeing exotic materials go into the iPhone. Caron Fibre, Liquid metal, etc. I know this. I'm getting a new iPhone this summer. Whether its the iMini/iLite, iPhone 4/s or the iPhone 5. I'm getting a nwe phone.

Really like this design and the smart cover aspect. Interesting few months ahead. Now that iPad 2 has been announced I suppose we all move into full next gen iPhone rumor mode.
