Really like this design and the smart cover aspect. Interesting few months ahead. Now that iPad 2 has been announced I suppose we all move into full next gen iPhone rumor mode.

I don't like it. The front is identical, still with huge wasted areas that could be used for a larger screen. The back is like the first gen iPhone and the 3G paired.

It's boring and unimaginative. Not good enough.

These mockups never seem to come close to what the actual iPhone looks like.

The mockup looks fine. The iPhone 4 looks fine. They all look fine to me.

Maybe the casing will be Zirconia. Apple applied for a patent to use it for mobile devices in 2006 as it is radio transparent. It could produce some interesting effects.

Apple like to make the devices as clean as possible. Have you seen those devices that turn a window into a speaker? Maybe that technology could be used to turn the screen into a speaker, doing away with the old speaker outlets.

Original iPhone was flat on the back, as well. iPhone 4 was a much welcome return to that.
