This one has been my favorite, until MacRumors posted theirs. So now this has become my 2nd' favorite:

AAPL stock is at an all time high. I'm thinking something big is coming. Maybe Apple will announce something to do with battery technology. What if the iPhone 5 gave you 2-3 days of battery life of heavy usage?

Can you expand about the 'battery technology'? I thought battery technology on a mobile phone wasn't going anywhere for a bit longer.

I heard wedges don't feel right when you're gaming in landscape mode.

It felt right for the iPhone 3G and 3GS users. It's just something to get used to.

Well, holding a mini-brick slab (iPhone 4) isn't really the best either in my opinion, but somehow it has outsold all previous iPhones.

My guess is that whatever new design Apple puts out, it'll definitely be beautiful. It's just one of the characteristics of Apple, which I personally love. Heck, didn't Steve Jobs want the internals of a Mac rearranged so that it would look aesthetically pleasing? Tear drop or not, I have confidence that they will put out a fantastic design. I'm sure when you hold the phone, it will fit just right in landscape and portrait mode.

Sorry, a bit of the fanboy got out. :)

Physically, holding that brick slab is ideal since it is the same shape from right to left (as were the previous iPhones, so I'm curious as to what Reach9 means...).

I think the mock artists just got happy with the shape of the Macbook Air and tried to apply it to the iPhone. I hope that's the source of those rumors. Teardrop makes no sense on the iPhone.

Same with that awful triple wide home button. Double ugh.

My favorite so far.

I'd actually say that the best or most ideal iPhone design (and I am definitely biased in this, so, apologies) is the iPhone 3G/S. The curved back is ideal for storing in pockets, and fits perfectly in your hand/s. If it weren't for the plastic back, I have no complaints against the 3G/S design in regards to how it feels in hands.

The iPhone 4... I didn't buy precisely because of the above reasons. It doesn't fit in my pocket nicely due to no curved back. And, when holding it, it just doesn't feel right. I only have two contact points with the phone when holding it: the left side and the right side, making it harder to hold (not to mention how fragile the damn thing feels!). Whereas on my 3GS, the back curvature perfectly fits the curvature of my fingers while trying to hold the phone. So I have a solid grip on it while texting, while browsing, etc.

Teardrop... I'm reserving my opinion until I see it and hold it in person. I hated the 4's design until I saw it in person. Well, even then I didn't really like it. :)

It isn't the best, but it's better than a wedge

You never know until you physically try the phone. Personally, it's hard to judge how it will feel in your hands until you actually hold the phone. I'm sure the wedge/teardrop design will somehow come together and make sense once you feel the phone. Or... it might not. Like how I didn't like the iPhone 4's design even after holding it.

Those are so sexy. God. Amazing.

That said, the camera is definitely too low and they definitely wont be going back to a rocker switch, but still a gorgeous phone.

I agree. Beautiful mock up. Although something did come to mind...the metal bezel on this reminds me awfully a lot of the BlackBerry Bold 9900. Basically that first picture looks exactly what the Bold would be if it didn't have a keyboard... :p

Guys, you need to stop posting these mockups. I have a real picture of the iphone 5, which was leaked from apple just a few hours ago, and it looks like this:
