thats not necessarily true.

Actually, it is - cause I distinctly remember that mockup being posted in a thread of possible successors to the iPhone 3G. It's impossible for it to be based off of the photostream icon if it was made years before that icon existed.

In the end, the new iPhone will look like a "thicker" 4G iPod touch but with a 4" display, eight megapixel rear camera, A5 CPU/GPU and 1 GB of system RAM at minimum. Whether it will include LTE support or NFC support is questionable (probably not l ikely); I would not be surprised the new iPhone will be "refreshed" next summer with an iPhone 5S model that does include LTE and NFC, using a new, super low-power Broadcom chipset.

I like this mock the best. http://www.behance.net/gallery/iphone-5-concept/1617083
It maintains the overall shape of the iPhone 4 which I like. I don't like the idea of the tapered design. Looks too much like a 3GS or an iPod.

That design is pretty hot looking. I love the home button/notification light combo.

Very, very nice! I would love that so much. It kind of reminds me of the T-Mobile G2 and I love the look of that phone.

Again with the taper. An answer to a question nobody asked.

Do you know how unstable that thing would be trying to sit in a dock? It'd snap the connector off in no time.
Depends on where the center of gravity is. You are assuming that this design is top heavy when in fact, the bottom could be all battery.

man, i would totally get this iPhone. Unibody glass :)

That reminds me of the Nokia Sea Ray. You'd also hope they include a little plastic bag with it, into which you could scoop the remains of your phone after you drop it.

i'm down for that. i mean, the iPhone 4 is made of glass and has the highest accident rate out of any other iPhone iterations they've done in the past.

Out of all redesigns, I hope the iPhone 5 has a soft aluminum back just like the iPad. I would definitely buy it

The concept looks great, but god please... anything but glass.

I think Case-Mate's leak (which is the same as the numerous leaks in China) is the best bet we have, and for a well known case manufacturer like them to post this probably has enough credit.

i would love to have the old design modernized! a bit slimmer the chrome bezel toned down and it would be awesome. it was honestly the best iphone design.

Gotta agree with you there. A flat back with curved sides is great, I think if they modernized it as you said they could make a really good looking and functionally shaped phone.

Heavens, no! Ew. Sorry, but I think that is fugly. Ironically, though, I am IN LOVE with that color-changing "mood" home button. I'd like to see that on the next iPhone.
