iPhone 5 - New Features

What do you want to see in the new iPhone 5? Here's my dream list that I hope makes it to the iPhone 5.

1. 4G
2. Widgets like HTC Sense
3. Keyboard
4. Dual analogs for gaming
5. Better Antenna
6. The usual more RAM, storage, faster processor, better screen, etc.
7. Ability view all apps via Apple TV (air play for all apps)
8. Better Speakerphone
9. 3D screen (that's kind of pushing it but hey, Nintendo is doing it.

What's your dream list of features?

3. HELL NO
4. wtf? It's a phone not a PSP
5. Antenna gate (yes, that non issue) is over
6. The only thing I see increasing is the processing power (not by much)
7. Eh, no.
8. Speakerphone is fine the way it is.
9. Worst idea on the list.

I agree except I would like to see Air Play enabled for ALL apps.

Your insight into Apple's plans is amazing...
 
Some things I would like to see:

1. More development on the camera. Better sensor, better zoom (a real optical zoom would be nice), better in low light and at capturing motion.

2. A pressure sensing screen. I'd like the ability to use my iPhone or iPad as a tablet.

3. A thermometer. I know this might sound hokie but I can see some uses for it and ways developers can use this sort of function.

4. Better speaker.

5. Headphones that don't fall apart after a few months.

6. A laser. I know this would never happen, but it would be nice to be able to get rid of my Leica Disto and just use my phone to take measurements.

Some iOS developments I'd like:

7. A better way to organize apps.

8. Fonts! We need the ability to add fonts (among other things) in order to really use these devices for content creation.

9. Some way for multiple apps to access the same file we might be working on.

That's all.

seriously , if your you want dream , why you don't dream battery ?

battery 20 hour usage
1000 hour standby

no more issue for us , play iphone touch,game,wifi,bluetooth all stuff all day without charge ... this is real iphone the world want to have

yes, I can't agree with you more on this, everyone have to focus on a lasting development not get all the eggs by killing their old hens.

You're smart into their strateges, I should say....;)

Nintendo is doing it, But they're screen also isn't 326 PPI.

And Duel Analogs?? What the??
This Isn't the PSP Phone people.
 
OK, here's my wish list. I don't expect any of these in the next phone, maybe not for several years - but fun to dream:
  • Full front surface is active display, edge to edge & top to bottom. Apps can display buttons/controls outside the primary view area.
  • Back of phone is a color eInk display (customize your phone & change it any time you want, no power draw once image is set)
  • Eliminate physical buttons (make all controls capacitive)
  • Thinner/lighter/more durable (Graphene construction? OK, maybe not in the next model - but someday!)
  • Eliminate dock port (inductive charging, or maybe MagSafe) and headset jack, make the phone highly water resistant
  • Light Field camera
 
All the specs. you've mentioned, a 4" display, more color choices and a redesign altogether.

These concepts are a few of my favorite: 3rd. is my favorite, followed by the 1st because it offers colors. The 3rd. is very Jetson's retro-future.
