and your point is? A vaporware is thinner than the iPhone 5?

This phone is still inferior to the iPhone 5. Get over it Fandroid.

Because it looks and feels weird when it has lumps sticking out.

That's just nonsense. Have you seen classic hand sets? Were they flat? Not even close. Ergonomics and flat do not mix well.

You can buy OPPO Finder if you want. If it is a vaporware then so is iPhone 5.

Classic hand sets and cellphones are not the same though.
Doesnt make sense to have a device with lumps sticking out. Its not balanced right, doesnt feel right holding it and offcourse it looks funny.
Up to you though, if you like it go buy it:)

There you go. Intensive sounded better. ;)

Is this the same company that makes the OPPO blu ray player? If so, it may be a high quality product. The OPPO is probably the best Blu Ray player on the market. I own and 83 and 93. Outstanding.

You know what? I just designed the world's thinnest thinnest smartphone, way thinner than this OPPO thing that you can't even see it. Nobody can claim thinnest anymore! :D You can buy it from ebay too!

Oppo is getting in to the phone biz now?

Oppo makes the best blu-ray players hands down. I have their BDP-93 and just received their new BDP-103 (through early pre-order sale) and it is nothing short of amazing. I'm very interested to see what involvement Oppo does in the mobile market.

Oppo's bd players is of the highest quality so if their phone pans out, I wish them well in this new industry venture.

What's wrong with the hump? Does the phone have to be 100% flat? Why? This might be one reason why iPhone 5 camera has its weird purple flare/tint - Apple decided to squeeze camera module into too tight space for lens to have proper parameters.

Purely from aesthetics stand point, a hump isn't easy on the eyes.

If you're gonna put a ridiculous hump, you might as well include an optical zoom.

;)

The hump is only stupid b/c iphone doesn't have a hump. If the iphone had a hump it would be shear genius.

I can't wait until cellphones are as thin as paper and internal batteries are no longer even needed. Power will come wirelessly to your cellphone. Your "battery" will never run out (unless you forget to pay your bill).

The camera on the Oppo Finder, however, is thicker. You know... all those companies can claim they have got the thinnest smartphone, but to me a '8 mm thin smartphone with one small bump that's 12 mm thick', is not a 8 mm thin smartphone.

If it doesn't fit through a hole that is smaller than 12 mm, than it is 12 mm thick.

The thing is, Apple has the over-all thinnest phone, while some other brands have the when-looking-at-other-parts-of-the-design the thinnest phone.

If iPhone had a hump I would have never purchased it. I've always thought the phones with humps were stupid....even before I bought an iPhone. I've never owned one with a hump and never will.

On another note, why is this even a thread?? This isn't news, we've known this phone was thinner since the iPhone 5 was launched.

Actually, I believe it is still thinnner.

The iPhone 5 wasn't even the thinnest smartphone at its launch despite Cook or Shiller saying it was. The Motorola Razr was announced before the iPhone at 7.1mm thin while the iPhone sits at 7.6mm thin.

It's how you look at it.

See this:
The thickest point is 10.6mm while the thinnest is at 7.1mm.

It's certainly great that at SOME points, this phone is 7.1 mm thin, but at one point it's over a centimetre thick. Just because most of the phone is only 7.1 mm thick and a small part 10.6 mm, doesn't mean the phone is 7.1 mm thick. You can't just ignore the 10.6 mm-part.

So, in fact, the iPhone 5 is over-all still thinner than the Razr (or the Oppo Finder).

It's stupid to argue this, the Oppo Finder is thinner...big deal. It's a crap phone. Apple fans drop the argument and Apple haters....please...this is just pathetic.

Srsly it's like saying the MacBook Air is the thinnest laptop because it tapers thinner on one end.
