iPhone 5 on AT&T has LTE, HSPA, and 3G?

That is what sucks with Verizon, if you go outside 3G range, you immediately hit dial-up speeds, where as AT&T has a nice robust EDGE network to fallback to which offers up to 4x-5x dial-up speeds.

The times I drop below 3G are pretty rare unless I'm traveling, so it's not a huge deal.

Yeah, I've hit AT&T's EDGE network maybe once or twice, and it wasn't unbearable, to be honest. It was about the speed of my friend's iPhone 5 on 3G, which I thought was funny.

AT&T Edge is comparable to Sprints 3G in many areas. Also AT&T doesn't have very much Edge only areas left. Most places at least have 3G now

Yeah, my friend's iPhone happened to be Sprint. He hates them.
