Iphone 5 personal hotspot issues

I 've been having this issue for quite a while now.

I use my iphone 5 as a personal hotspot for my ipad 4 but it alway loses its 3g signal(sometimes it just drops to Edge) when i charge it so what happens is i lose internet connection on both devices.

Anyone here experiences the same?

I dont think its the carrier but its a hardware issue.

You still failed to answer the second question then. How much do you use the feature? Does your phone get hot? Is it always being charged?

Alright then. I use it a lot like 3-4 hrs a day so I charge it 2 to 3 times in a day. No, it does not get hot.

If it is changing protocol then it is more likely than not a weak signal from your carrier. There is no other reason for the phone to switch.

iPhone 5/ AT&T

My iPhone gets hot when I used the hotspot. I mostly use it for web surfing and PS3. Make sure the signal strength is at least 4 bars to get a good connection. Yes, my phone gets pretty hot after 1 hour of usage. If it's around 3 bars, the connection drop once a while.

I know you're not messaging me but I'll answer you with my problem. Yes my iPhone is getting hot while charging it with the hotspot active. I have to stop the hotspot or it will run my battery all the way down until the phone shuts down. Help me please.
