iPhone 5 Pre order Thread !!!!

Was thinking we should make a thread because the pre orders start this friday I guess this way we can keep track of how long it takes to ship and how soon it comes? Here's some basic info of the iPhone 5.


The world's thinnest smartphone.

Weighs 112 grams, 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S.

"The challenge is to make it better and smaller."

4-inch display, 1136x640.

In the US: Sprint, AT&T and Verizon will support LTE.

Canada: Rogers, Telus, Bell, Fido, Virgin.

8 hours of LTE browsing, 10 hours of video, 40 hours of music, 225 hours of standby, 8 hours 3G talk time.

Video is 1080p but with better video stabilization.

The front-facing camera is now 720p, backside illuminated with facial recognition.

Same pricing as iPhone 4S.

$199 for 16GB, $299/32GB, $399/64GB (with two year contract).

iPhone 4S is $99, iPhone 4 is free with contract.

Preorders start on Friday, shipping one week later.
 
I'm within my 30 day window since buying the 4S. I hope I'm able to return it (32GB) and pre-order the new one.
 
Whens the date of the actual release ..? Like what day can I go in and wait to just buy it from the store if I want?
 
Does anyone have an estimated time on when pre-orders will be up on the 14th? Last time for the 4S I was able to place my order without issues around 5:30am est. Around 7am and 8am est, it was impossible to get on Apple or any big cell phone carriers to place an order.

And did anyone see a price if your not eligible for an upgrade? I've got a year to go, but will pay to upgrade.

Should be the 21st in the countries where it's shipping that day (I assume they mean shipping to arrive on the 21st, not leaves China that day)
 
so when you preorder it you are getting it to come to your house not go stand on line at a store and pick it up correct?
 
I think I'm going to break down and pre order this year. I was gonna hold off since my 4s is just fine, but I have a factory unlocked and think I can come out on top with some extra cash if I sell the 4s and use my upgrade for the 5.
 
I'll be staying up late to preorder. I'll camp out if preordering fails. I may drop by the local camp out just to say hi and chat.

Most people are saying 12am Pacific time on Friday. Which is fine for me, I'm in Las Vegas. We only have 2 Apple stores here and both tend to be very crowded. This will be my first iPhone at launch and I'd rather pre-order it instead of waiting in line and having to take a day off of work.
