As someone brought up before... It's be awkward to have an iPhone with that shape... since it's good for portrait... but what about when you hold it in landscape mode and typing with both hands?

I'm confident that human brain and hands are sophisticated enough to cope with slightly unevenly distributed size and weight.

I get that this is a joke, but why bother going through all trouble for a fake? Apple would then plant a false rumor for everything they did and that hasn't happened.

This is very simple. The iPhone 4S leaks are for people on the fence as to wait for a new iPhone or just buy one now. This is Apples way of saying "Might as well buy the iPhone 4 now because the next iPhone will look the same." The iPhone 5 case leaks are for all of the doubters thinking all we're getting is a spec bumped 4.

Well if you say this then you have to say the same for anything said about a 4S, in other words no matter what anyone says/does, it is purely for raised hype and attention. It is just sad that people can't wait 4 days without stating that one will come out like they have any idea what they are talking about.

Why would I say this about the 4S? Half of the "rumors" out there are hoaxes. I have a feeling that this is too simple to pass off as a rumor if one wanted to pull a hoax. Did this guy send MacRumors a picture of a confirmation shipping label that says the box was sent to an AT&T store? (All he had to do was block out the specific address) That would have at least given a bit more credence to the claim. As it stands now, he could have been standing in the back of JCPenney's stockroom after hours and opened this box... or maybe at his own house. Shocker, I know.

Or maybe it isn't, and instead, it's real!! I know..shocker right? (wish I could emphasize the sarcasm here with the house character).

Easiest thing is to see another AT&T store employee post some photos. Surely another store has received them and has someone willing to snap some shots.

Yeah, your comment was edited because of an immature insult at me. And I would give credence to your opinion because? Why would you say it is real, though? I'd like to know. Where in the pictures is there any sign that it is an AT&T store? Why are such shoddy packages being used if it is? As I demonstrated in my previous comment, you can buy "iPhone 5" cases by the box on eBay right now at this very moment (in fact, there are 9 pages from which you can choose). What tells you this guy isn't simply a reseller who ordered some generic cases? I don't understand. When you can answer these questions with absolute proof, I will rescind my skepticism.

Bingo. If it were true, this would not be the only store receiving shipments. I worked in retail and I know how it goes. If you are friends with a manager (or a manager yourself), it would be simple to take a peek inside of one of these boxes in the stockroom and take a photo while staying anonymous. If it were true, we'd have more widespread cases with evidence of them being inside actual AT&T stores.

What if the iPhone "4S" has been in production now to see parts leaking from China. Apple doesn't mind because it deflects attention from the mysterious iPhone 5.

What if the iphone5 is real - but due to the mess iPhone4 was last year - Apple have only produced a couple of units in house in California to stop the leaks from china.

The 'iPhone 4s' will be available right away, or near to.

As the 'iPhone 5' needs production time there might be a slight delay in shipping.

... Or not? Ha.

That is what I am thinking. I think the production is going on right now, but in extremely limited quantities with their most trusted manufacturers. I remember reading something about someone saying it was extremely difficult to make. I think this is going to be a device that is released at $599. 4s at $199 or $299.

Naa, this proves nothing, Shops like these are gonna have wasted a lot of money on what China believes is the next iPhone. ALL the evidence points towards an iPhone 4S. That's what's being announced on Tuesday, that's what it always was going to be. Only crazy rumour sites, such as this one, whom created iPhone 5 from their imagination.

Yeah I wouldn't have made an immature comment if you hadn't said "I know shocker" which is completely immature in itself. Look it could easily be fake, as could reports about anything else, I'm just not writing off the possibilty of a redesign because there have in fact been cases made for a redesigned phone, yes it could be inaccurate, but it could also be accurate. Let's wait 4 days and see what apple says huh?

What I said was sarcasm. You were telling me to perform a sexual act. Do the math.
Don't try to play the "I'm not sure what's going to happen" game now - every one of your other posts is in the "there will definitely be a redesigned iPhone 5 and these cases are legitimate AT&T store leaks!"

My point from the start was that this particular "AT&T" case leak is bogus. You still have not provided any proof to my questions as to why you believe this is a legitimate AT&T case leak.

Hahah what math am I trying to calculate..the difference in maturity level of said comments? Seriously? Anyway I've never said there will in fact be an iPhone 5, or iPhone 4S, nor have I said whether or not there will definitely be a redesign, what I have said is that it's funny when people post here that there will in fact be a slightly upgraded phone, when of course they do not know anything until apple states it. I'm always of the wait 'until product is announced' way of thinking, in that I'm not stating things that could easily be false, like many people that post.

P.S. Please find a post of mine that states what you said I said haha that's awesome.

Who would put new case designs in packages 4 days before the event just to trick people? Haha you guys are great seriously. These are real, whether they know if the iPhone will come out in this form factor remains to be seen, but these are real.

Again, how are you sure that this is a legtimate AT&T case leak? That is my issue. Not so much whether or not you believe in a redesigned iPhone 5 being released. You think this case leak is legitimate and I, again, urge you to answer with solid proof why we should not be taking this "leak" with a grain of salt. These cases are widely available and there was no proof of this being an AT&T order or from an AT&T stockroom at all. I'm waiting for why you and others are convined that this is not a hoax.

No dude I didn't mean the whole at&t thing I meant the cases are real and have been produced in some fashion. Which means there is evidence there could be a redesign. Of course the AT&T thing could be complete bs.

Are you serious right now? I feel like you are just trying to drive me crazy. My argument with you the entire time was over the fact that I thought that the cases being from AT&T was a hoax. Of course I know there are cases out there for a supposed iPhone 5 design (the cases may or may not be accurate, of course) - everyone does. That's why I linked people to that page on eBay to show people how accessible they are ... and how anyone could buy 100 of them today if they like and take a picture and say they are from AT&T's shipment. Come on now.

I reeeeealy want all the rumors to be true about an iPhone 5 next week but I'm starting to have strong doubts.

As mentioned many times before, an upgrade only "S", a year after a major iPhone release, has been Apple's norm.

For the "Yeah, but it's been more than a year, so it HAS to be a new major release" crowd, don't forget, leaked images pretty much confirm the iPhone 4S will be a world phone, with both GSM and CDMA support. Indicating an iPhone 4S is not just a processor and memory upgrade from the iPhone 4.

Having both radios functioning and fully tested in a single device can not be a trivial task, especially if Apple plans to support new carriers (Sprint). And considering how Apple got beat up with the whole iPhone 4 radio antenna issue, they will want to be damn certain an iPhone 4S world phone radio system works flawless. Three or four extra months to make and test an iPhone 4S world phone seems reasonable to me.

Finally, there seems to be no reports or sightings of ANY new iPhone 5 components (new screen, new ID components, etc..). Apple would be making/ordering tens of millions of new iPhone 5 components. With so many people either directly involved or tracking global component movements, it doesn't seem likely that there wouldn't be even one inside leaks or at least component movement data that would support a new iPhone 5.

Regardless, I'm really hoping for an iPhone 5 on Tuesday but will not be surprised to see just a iPhone 4S world phone along with iOS 5.

Flame away!

-DarkShady

a redesigned iPhone 5 is coming.

iPhone 4s will be quietly updated for the expanding markets in China and India (and pre-pay here in the U.S.) and will be priced at a competitive $99.

Imagine for a sec if it's only a updated, redesigned iPhone 4 > why would anyone pay $199 and $299 respectively for a faster processor and better camera? Don't see it happening. I'd just pick up a 4 for $99.

I'm new here so I've stayed fairly quiet, but I'm honestly amazed at the level of skepticism I'm seeing for a redesigned iPhone 5 providing this leaked case has indeed been ordered and stocked at an AT&T store.
I know all the hardware leaks point toward a 4S with minimal redesign but these cases--if the shot is legit--are the equivalent of a smoking gun.
AT&T would not have an iPod Touch case and there is absolutely no chance in hell that AT&T doesn't know what's coming. They would not order and stock a case based on speculation.

A jury would convict on less than this. Flame all you want, but this clinches it for me

My droid x is uneven and it's not an issue at all, I can't believe that that person would even give that as an excuse, wow.

Exactly, I'm amazed at the extent to which people are going to disprove that there is not a redisigned iphone 5 coming out, it almost very bizarre. Why would somone not want a new sleeker design, haha.

Was going to say exactly this. Look how many Android phones have cameras bulging out of the rear up top.

Does lack of evidence mean anything?

I have a question because I don't remember what information was available leading up to the iPhone 4. Obviously we had the phone that was left at the bar. But what about before that? I don't remember reading anything discussing the glass and new form factor. Would we have known what the iPhone 4 was going to look like but for the Apple employee's mistake?

If there was nothing, then it doesn't mean much to me that there are no supply chain clues regarding an iPhone 5 with a new form factor.
