That honestly looks legit...but with all the fakes going around it's hard to tell until steve shows us.

The problem is that everyone has their own expectations as to what the new iPhone 5 will or should look like.

Until we see it announced, no one really knows what type of phone Apple will release this fall.
I highly doubt the iPhone 5 will have a smaller screen than the 3GS and 4. Just take a look at the distance between the ear speaker and where the screen begins. Then pull out your current iPhone to compare.

It looks nice but if that's the screen size then I'll keep my iPhone 4
for awhile longer. So many of the mock ups look better than that one
does and for Apple to take this much extra time between releases it
should look a little better IMO.

Agree 100%

I like the design, its just the screen looks slightly less in height and the black bezel at the top and bottom have increased? Lets hope thats not the case!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile/8L1)

Okay... I really like this now. It really is the gorgeous love child of the 3GS and 4.

Apple, take my money. Now, please, just give me that phone in early September.

what an awkward way to hold a phone.

i don't know if the image is real or fake, but why hide the hands? it's as if the phone was pasted onto the image with the pixelated hands.

looks really legit to me. I would be happy to sell my 3GS for this. A bigger screen would be nice, but not nice enough to screw up the billion apps in the app store. Lets not go down that route.

I hope this is not legit. I still prefer the old 2G, 3G and 3GS iPhone design over the iPhone 4's. My old iPhone 3G is just a pleasure to hold compared to my iPhone 4.

My friend took this picture of the Rogers iPhone 5 tester unit in iTunes 10.6 beta which has yet to be released to the public.

I posted it in the image gallery here

Very interesting. The iPhone in the picture certainly looks different.

This looks fake. There are no volume buttons and as others have said the icons are on the wrong side on one of the pics. Before anyone says the volume buttons will be on the other side, look at the 2 pictures one shows left side one shows right side. This looks as fake as they come.

we were able to see it only 2 minutes, pictures forbidden of course, so, we did our best.

I just want to share this with the mac community, now trust me or not :)

Rendez-vous in 1-2 months :)

Any other tech details?

fake as hell. why are the hands and everything pixelated but the phone itself looks like a fairly decent picture thats not pixelated?

If you look closely, the "Airplane mode" has the new iOS 5 style toggles. I think it's legit. Whether it is iPhone 5 or the cheaper 4, that remains to be seen.

If it's real I was hoping for the screen to be slightly bigger but still looks good.

But where is the volume / lock button? And the sim tray?
Edit: Just realised it's the same photo twice but has been mirrored or something? So we are just seeing the same side twice?

Who knows? But how does this 'prove' it is fake?

Not to mention the screen is the same on both pictures... wouldn't it be upside down in one of them?

By that logic ("why would Apple give it a smaller screen"), why would someone trying to pass off a fake as real make a mockup with a smaller screen?

Why are the hands pixellized but the phone isn't?

Looks like a photoshoop. Also looks like someone could just compress a photo of iPhone4 vertically and get this.
