iPhone 5 to have 4.44" Screen!!!

so these cases are definitely for an Apple device?? If they are producing them now, im sure its a device that is set to be released soon

4.4 inches does seem a bit large tho, but that seems to be the normal size of smartphones today
 
Interesting that Hard Candy is keeping the iPhone 5 case page up and running.

Doesn't mean we are getting this, but it's an interesting development no doubt.

I wish Apple would give us a 4S AND 5. That would be amazing. The 4S would have a 64 GB model and the 5 only comes in 16 and 32 GB. Hmmmm......
 
Mr. Hickman is about to be let go as CEO for spending money on 50,000 cases based on an educated guess. It'll happen at about 1:45 EST today.
 
What if all these case leaks that show a bigger screen are just for a new iPod touch?
 
IF the pictures in the link provided are indeed real. Then i will go absulutely ape$h!t on both of them.

btw, this is my first post on this forum, not a most eloquent one, I know. :D

no he's not. he's actually smart enough to pull this stunt and got the whole world's attention right before an Apple event. free advertising for them, as no one really knows if they made those cases or not.
 
As far as I'm concerned they can do both a special iphone5/iAssistant-whatever in the new design (the one in the above link) and then a 4s using the current design.
 
4.44"?? That is way too freaking big. The picture comparison is just ridiculous. I bought the iPhone 4 because it is the most perfectly-sized phone ever. I did NOT buy the Droid X, because when I held it, I found it to be way too damn big to be comfortable in my pocket.

If this really is the next iPhone, I will pass for sure.
 
Or maybe Hard Candy only made 1 prototype case and just got a ton of free publicity.
 
I think 4.4 inches would be perfect. I have an Evo right now and i think a screen thats a little bit bigger would hit the sweet spot.
 
I wonder if folks have been constructively bitching to Apple for the past four years about the screen size. Or if all this I-want-a-bigger-screen nonsense is simply because the competition offers larger screens. /ponder

Forgive me if I'm wrong but Apple has a track record of being a game-changer, not a game-player. They are the trend-setters, not the trend-followers. They innovate.

Simply making the screen larger -- just because the other guy has it -- would seem so... copy-catish. No? Ohhhhh the irony.

I for one hope there's a lot more in store than simply more screen real-estate for the sausage-handed users.
