I am happy for you Apple, maybe I will direct this money towards your stock options next time.

For those of you who's phones have now shipped....when did you order them?
I ordered mine 9/29 and its said "pending shipment" for a few days now...does that mean its close??

You'll probably be waiting a while. I ordered 9/24 through my business account rep. I have a pending status for delivery on 10/19. Currently, their are people who PRE-ORDERED that still haven't received theirs. One would expect the inventory will be shipped in the order of received orders. Now, I do believe inventory for the 64 MB devices are much better so if you ordered one, you may receive it much earlier than someone who ordered a 16 GB.
You'll be waiting 2 more weeks before it ships unless something changes and it ships way ahead of schedule. I ordered mine yesterday. I imagine I won't get it till Halloween. Anything earlier will be a pleasant surprise.
Checked mine again - still says processing but estimated delivery date has moved to first week in November - all this for a phone supposed to be delivered on launch day.
I called apple and they said it was due to uk shipments changing...
Mine left Alaska at 2:26 local time, 4:26 my time.

Agreed. I have heard nothing from Apple this whole time other than the initial pre-order confirmation. Also, news stories seemed to indicate late pre-orders were shipping early but it looks like no such luck.

The "late pre-orders" shipping early is what I really don't understand. A friend of mine ordered through apple.com at 8:30 AM PST on 9/14 and received his phone 9/25. You and I ordered two days later and we haven't received any updates. Extremely confusing.
Delivered this morning at 10:26am. Gotta wait until 10pm to play with it though. Glad the wait is over.
