My vibrator is so loud! That's the one in my iphone 5, not in my bedside table drawer, to be sure.
The 4S was so nice and discreet. i want it to vibrate, not buzz! That's the whole point why I have it on silent! :(

UGH...is it obnoxious like those annoying Android phones?:p

im not the only one!

YES it really does!!! you can go to the settings>sounds>text tone> and up top create a custom vibrate.... and half the time it works... and most of the time it doesn't and reverts back to the loud vibe... very annoying! its the only issue i have with my phone ughhh hope there is a fix for this soon!

well at least u can use it on your vagina

Even though this was random as hell, I lol'ed

But seriously though, I cant believe all the things people are complaining about on the 5. Various things.

Is it really that bad, or are people just being incredibly too picky?

They said in the teardown they went back to the IPHONE 3G vibrator and they wondered why because the 4 and 4s were perfect and not intrusive to others around you.

Yeah. Those cool mini massagers that you see at Brooks brothers etc. Women use them in other ways. The iPhone should work fine too.

Can you upload a video of that please?

It is so much better now!! I'm glad they went back to the old design. I was so tired of not feeling it vibrate in my pocket while moving around. If you really need it anymore silent just turn everything off.

I was setting up an alarm and when I went to choose a tone, it also vibrated and about scared the crap out of me. I don't think I need a tone. The vibration of the phone on my nightstand should be sufficient to wake the whole house up.

I'm coming from an i4 so I guess I don't notice a big difference. It definitely has a strong vibrate but I never had 4S so I'm personally not bothered by it. :)

Apple saw all those sex toy apps in the App Store. (The ones you can "send vibes" to your partner)

They contracted Tim the Toolman Taylor to improve it, who promptly declared "MORE POWER!! Oh ho ho!"

And the 5 was boosted.

True story...

lol

Right, so if I turn everything off, then how would you suggest I will know when I receive a message, short of checking my phone every few minutes?
The 4S was perfect. Very discreet. Now, when it rings or a message comes in and I'm in a quiet environment I have to push my hand over the phone in my pocket!

If you are in a meeting you shouldn't be on the phone to began with.

I am so happy they went back to the old vibrator motor. When the 4S came out there were so many problems with the new motor, it would rattle the back glass and it was horrible. I actually had multiple replacements until I could get one that worked properly. I know dozens of other people that had the same problems.

To each his own, I quite like the new vibration (back to the rotating vibrate motor); it's strong which means I can feel it in my pocket when it's one silent.

If you are really looking for "silent" why even have vibrate on?
