when i look at the slow motion from the face down drop, i seems like it landed on its back and then flipped to lie on the front. so not really showing how it stood up to landing on the front.

excellent to see howver that the 5 is pretty well built though

iphone generally has pretty good battery life compared to android based phones. the two OS behaving differently has do with battery life. although not common these days, Nokia Symbian based phones were(are) highly energy efficient.

s3 having higher pixel and iphone having higher ppi are facts. no one looks at their phone screen inch away from their eyes. a reasonable ppi/resolution is sufficient. no?

i did mix up between different flavors of S3 though.

True, I agree about the limit of ppi, but I just don't see why you would bring up the respective resolutions then if we both agree on that.

most important conclusion in first id : "its just a cheap plastic anyway"

couldn't find better words for that.

Ow and even the cracks look better than on a samsung... Tho, it seems like they have tried to copy them.

Word.

here's a comparison with the international version: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6324/the-iphone-5-performance-preview

iPhone still wins.

The"boring" phone is winning! LOL Don't make the phandroids and sameshit madder! :D

lolwut

Speed Test would like to have a word with you:

Image

I was referring to the total speed of the phone, not the network. Not that it would change anything.

The iPhone 5 is a much improvement over the 4S and other smartphones in about everything it does except map application so far. No more going to the apple shop for a replacement on damage screen. It's really does look apple have learnt their lessons from other previous iPhones.

Drop test

This guy was goofy.

http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/iphone...ung-galaxy-s3-drop-test-guess-who-wins-video/

(Looks like Galaxy s3 doesn't use Gorilla Glass)

But these tests are "screwed", if you had cases. Even the iPhone 4s would have been good choice. You do do same for any smart-phone with a case...

Least when TWIT did it off the roof, it was a better one, plus they tested it WITH cases on, A much more better realistic experience, in my view.

Now i know why people complain about shattered phones...

pseudoscience - why evne bother

drop test this drop test that...
It is a test of luck, not a drop test of how strong or good the phone is.

construckt a slider so the phone hit the same way each time, have both of them land in different scenarios...
also have a nice surface to drop on, not something that is many sided like the one you were dropping on
1) on edge
2 on top
3 bottom
4) flat on screen
5) flat on back
6) on corner....

now when you do that you can call it a drop test...

actually, that has been done and the iPhone still lasts longer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4zQKeAEqsQ

Ha Ha I found all that to be hilarious. The last video the guy just had this look like oh **** I can't break it. LOL.. Proud owner of the iPhone 5 it sets a new bar for device standards.

S3 does have wireless charging. But the charging pad has not been released yet

Ha Ha Ha Ha.... Wow, now that is a compelling feature to have. :p

In other word's: god knows when it will be released and when it does, you have to shell out a significant amount of money to get one.

Good job, Lilo. You have outdone yourself! :D

This is certainly not scientific but what I really love about the retina display is the sharpness and clarity. It is truly a gorgeous display. I know a couple who recently purchased two S3s from Verizon. I examined them carefully and what I immediately noticed was that the display was not as sharp and crisp as the iPhone retina display. It wasn't even close! If someone offered me an S3 for free I would not even be interested. I have not seen one smart phone that has the crispness and sharpness of the retina display.

Cheap plastic, cheap construction and the fandroids can no longer use the excuse that it is more durable.

LOL. It look like S3 palstic is still more durable than super scuff aluminum...
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1445493/

S3 was sold 20 million and was not 100 case about crack or scuff, check XDA.
Iphone 5 sold 5-6 million and there are hundreds of damaged devices...
So which phone is cheap?
Haha this is embarrassing for Apple that plastic S3 is much higher quality and more durable than aluminum iFone...

iPhone VS Samsung

of course, iPhone5 is hot recently, but according to the report and marketing feedbacks, iPhon5 makes us disappointed. I appreciate iphone, too, But Samsung is superior to iphone in cost effective, otherwise, Samsung G SII will be landed by mid-November, it's going to arouse another mobile phone boom. i'm looking forward to its launch, and focus on a store to buy Samsung accessories. Trust its products, and received so many good feedbacks.
eoem dot cc. Here u can get u love like me.

Samsung Galaxy phones have always been a cheap piece of junk so deal with it. In the videos of the drop test the S3 was destroyed. Get over yourself and your phone no one on MacRumors gives a crap about it so do us all a favor and just go AWAY.
