If you are a man I would discourage you from pink anyway, it's a weak color.

Wish people wouldn't promote silly gender stereotypes.

My girlfriend and I got ours the first weekend they came out. We went thinking she would get the blue and I would get the green.
She ended up with the green and I ended up with the white.
It was a hard choice. I almost got blue. I sat there looking at all of them for a while but ultimately chose white because I thought it looked kind of stormtrooperish and figured the white (being neutral) would go well with any color case. I got a blue case for it.
Plus I was worried I would get sick of whatever particular color I chose, whereas the case colors could be changed out.

It's exactly what I'm talking about.Just stereotypes!

wish people would read up on color psychology ...

I know about how different colors affect people and pink is a calming color. But that doesn't make it unmanly. It doesn't have anything to do with gender.

certain shades of pink can act calming. Pink is usually associated with femininity and weakness. So of course it is associated with gender. I might add that these perceptions can vary from person to person, but those are the most common associations.

Green and Pink are my favorites. You're probably a guy so that means Pink is probably out. Get a Green one. Blue is nice too, and is the best way to embrace color but still be safe. Yellow is disappointing in person because it's kind of pale. White is nice, but boring.

I work in finance and have pink ties. Wear a pink tie nobody bats and eye, have a pink phone everyone loses their minds.

People who use psychology to say that pink is feminine are misinformed. Pink was at one time for boys and blue was used for girls because blue was the color for Virgin Mary. Then that switched after WWII. All we ever seen is pink belonging to girls, so that's what we believe. It's just a cultural thing.

Better materials/grip, much cheaper and more color options. (even the white is much friendlier than the 5s options. It's really a matter of taste and needs. Kids who play games on their phone would profit from the A7 chip in the 5s.

only thing i give u is the better grip. much cheaper? is only $100 less, if 100 is a lot then maybe u shouldnt get an iphone to began with. more color? 9/10 ppl put a case on their 5c, lmao

the price difference for me was: the 5s would've been double the price.(~350€)
100$ for features I don't use would still be money wasted.
I don't use a case.

Like I wrote it depends on your needs.
For only 100$ more the 5s would be a great deal if you need the extra features.

You just said yourself that it switched after WWII so how am I misinformed? Psychology is also a cultural thing and changes over time.

I have the yellow 5c. People often confuse it for white in dark lighting. I like the color a lot. My favorite three are green, yellow and white. I never liked the blue for some reason.

I love the white one. Looks so great with black front and white back. Missed that since the 3G/3GS. Looks so great.

If the iPhone 6 doesn't carry any killer features, and have the ugly antenna breaks, and they announce a 6C with iPhone 5S internals and Touch ID, I might actually go for that in white.

So I'm currently on boost Mobile after leaving Sprint contract plans now I technically did not leave sprint service since boost is part of them, planning on picking up an iPhone 5c since boost has a great deal on a 32gb model for $439 I'm just fighting with my self with color choice green or blue wanted to hear some of this great communities opinion? Please

Blue is best of the two. That green color is way off. It looks too Playskool. :D I'd get it in white. Question for you. If I'm out of contract on my 4S with Sprint, can I go to Boost Mobile and use my Sprint 4S with them and go month to month? I'm still paying $67/month on Sprint because I'm waiting for the 6 to get released so I can go ATT or T Mobile and didn't want to be without service.

You know pink used to be associated with males and blue with females in the early 1900's. It's only since the late 70's and 80's that pink became the default "girl" color. Mostly for marketing reasons. I've never once heard anyone associate that color with weakness though. That's kind of silly.

But my whole point is pretty simple, it shoudln't matter and we shouldn't continue to push those separations. It always disappoints me when I hear guys tell other guys not to like or do something because it is not manly. We should have the freedom to do and like as we wish. Why would we artificially limit ourselves? It's not logical.

It is not merely associated with weakness, it literaly makes your body weaker (source: http://orthomolecular.org/library/jom/1988/pdf/1988-v03n04-p202.pdf)

This effect is short term and obviously neglectable with a mere pink phone, but this is why the color itself is associated with weakness by most people. Females are, on average, physically weaker than males. Hence the color is often associated with femininity / weakness. This is why someone mentioned the use in "drunk tanks" and prisons to calm and also weaken the prisoners.

I am suprised that these commonly known associations and effects of the color pink are unkown to some.

Noone said that you don't have the freedom to do and like as you wish.
I think it's good that there is a lot of crazy colors with the 5c. That's one of the things i like about it.
I simply pointed out physiological, psychological and cultural effects of a certain color.
If I would show up to work with a pink phone I would be eaten alive, so it's at least worth a consideration.

Why would you choose a white 5c over the white 5s. You get better internals with the 5s? I'm curious.

I write why in my post :-D I don't dig the white front/screen on the 5S. Like the black and white combination on the 5C more. If the 5S had a black screen, I would definitely go for it!

That is fascinating. Thank you for the link. :)

That said, today as males we don't really have a huge need to be all tough. A lot of us work in offices and do fairly mundane things. [EDIT]Also after reading more research it seems people become accustomed to these colors and their effects wear off. There is still a lot of skeptism in regards to their effectiveness as there isn't a whole lot of research done. Even Schausss himself who did these initial studies didn't appeciate the results being spread around as he thought they were inconclusive.

Today while I was walking down the street to go to the supermarket I passed by a bus station full of people. My phone rings,I reply and suddenly the faces of all of them was like...that gay where the **** is he going with this phone?!?! Ahahaha...I have a 5C Pink cause was the last one of the 32Gb version so I took it because I paid just 469 for the unlocked version. Is it really strange the whole thing with the colors?I'm ok with the color.Besides it's just a phone.I don't know why someone should look at me and think exactly what I'm not! :)

Between your 2 choices, I'd choose green. :D blue is just too basic and I've seen too many people with them. (Kinda loses it's charm after seeing literally 100 people with it.)
!

Funny - I just realized that I have never seen anyone with a 5C. Not once. I still see iPhone3(S) and 4(S) and 5(S) of course but never the 5C. I actually would get one if the front would be white instead of black.

I'd be interested in the 5c if they had white fronts and didn't have (soon to be) 2 year old internals.
