Seriously. I don't understand how people can actually say it looks nice or doesn't feel cheap. I held it at the store and I was blown away with how nasty it felt. Like slime that wanted to drip out of hands. I'm so happy that the top model is still made of nice metal.

I think someone sneezed a giant loose booger on the one you handled.

Totally disagree with OP

5C has a beautiful build and the plastic feels lush - just like every review Ive read, it feels more like ceramic than some plastic.

Very impressed.

Further, and this may sound over the top, the soft feel of the plastic, the new screen, the colours (of course) and the curves mimic stuff in iOS (look at the bubble text msgs in Message) - Im wondering if they went this far in their design process.

I checked out the 5c while waiting for an associate to complete the purchase of my 5s. It definitely feels like plastic to the touch (no surprise since they didn't add any rubber or a scratch finish to give it texture), but it did seem well built to me. It felt like it could survive a drop, and could be a good choice for parents with young children, or for children.

This has to be one if the dumbest t thread starts I have seen. I mean why even bother posting if you didn't like you didn't like it keep it to yourself ! Secondly it was a display model how many people do you think touched that phone honestly wow I mean wow

Here. I was feeling nice.

I don't care how much the aluminium costs vs plastic, i'm saying that anodised aluminium feels much better to me than glossy plastic. Also, i've held a few 5c's in Apple stores, they all felt slimy as hell. People here really need to stop pretending that Apple's plastic is somehow magical, apart from feeling thicker and heftier over the competition (+ve), it's just as slimy as glossy as any other plastic phone.

Good others agree with me.

Slimy is definitely appropriate for the 5c. I'm not knocking it down but I have a 5c in the family and it's so slippery and feels like a brick in the hand...not a good thing!. At the end, it's personal preference but I'll take the 5s any day and I did. It's sleeker and classier.

^ For the record I touched the phone at about 10 am. (I was #~160 in line and that was when I finally got inside)

So you waited in line outside for untold hours and got your mitts on a 5C after 160 other acne prone people who'd waited in line for hours had handled it..... and you're surprised it was greasy?

It doesn't matter OP... It absolutely does not matter because 80% of 5C customers would have and will slapped on a piece of "plastic" case on it anyway.

And 90% will be slapping plastic cases on the 5S....

Dramatic much?

Hyperbole much? I own a 5S and my wife owns a 5C. The 5C feels a whole lot better to hold than the 5S.
