iPhone 5C: guess the price!

I hate the attitude that because it will be cheaper it will be rubbish. It will (from leaks eg...8mp camera) mostly likely have the same internals as the iPhone 5 - hence the name iPhone 5C. The way it is manufactured and the materials/parts inside will allow for a lower price point. I can see myself selling my iPhone 5 if this is indeed the case, but time will tell.
My best guess, the color model iPhone will not have the finger print reader, the camera will be 8mp, and carry the same chip as the 5.

Finger print reader, 12mp camera 120FPS video feature, higher storage, storage will HAVE to go up with 120FPS, 16gb would be silly small.

iPhone 4 still the free phone, 4s and 5 discontinued, the color will be close to what the 5 was. And for just 79.00 why go for the free one? Apple will make the 79.00 iPhone so compelling most will not go for a free phone and choose to pay the 79.
Taking previous years cost to carriers, Apple could make $200 on the S and 125 on the color ballpark. I assume they want to keep the profit between the two phones as close as they can, so no matter what you choose $$$$
Can they pull it off? hard to say, they will lose some upgrades from the 4 or 4s moving to the color instead of the 5s, and lose some from new buyers going to the color. But they are banking on a LOT of new buyers and the past free phone contracts who got the 4, to just go to the color.
I think it will work for the most part, But I don't think this will translate into a lot of sales in other countries, 349 off contract is a lot cheaper, BUT still pretty high compared to android.

I would have thought they would do a 32GB model as well, you think about all the other "cheap" phones on the market at the moment they all have microSD card storage which puts them at around 32GB if the user needs it, so i would have thought Apple will do a 32GB version.
I think it will do well, last year (in the UK at least) a BlackBerry Curve was the phone most teenagers had because it was cheap, if Apple can do the same I think they will sell loads.

The "entry" Ipod Touch now has 16GB, I don´t think we'll see a 8GB Iphone 5C model.

Actually it will be more than the 5s on contract, probably 349.00, but that is 300 less than the 5s off contract. The reason people will buy it is that they don't want a contract, and really the main thing is people outside the US don't have subsidized contracts, they pay the full 649.00, so 349.00 would be a good discount.
Yep. Apple will not make multiple capacities. A budget phone doesn't need 32gb.
I will look into off contract phone, just to so I can see the phone early after a year when the iPhone 6 comes out.
I should have been more clear "the color off contract" will be more than the 5s on contract. Some are saying the color will be less off contract, Just no way the color will be less than 200 without a contract, never happen, 349 is the lowest it would be.
They're going to finally kill the 4S and 4. They'll probably dump the 5 also.
5C $49-99 on contract, depending on storage. The superior 5S will be $199+ as usual.

What would be the point of iPhone 5C then? iPhone 5C is basically iPhone 5 specs/features in a plastic case. If you want the aluminum casing you have to fork over money for iPhone 5S.
You're basing this all on rumors. We won't know the facts until they are announced.
Very very rarely does a company do away with a product that they need to continue building for warranty reasons. Gonna make it might as well sell it. That is unless the product was a bad idea to begin with (iPad 3). But the iPhone 5 was a success for the most part.
The real value for the color is going to be the off contract price, on contract the color will not be free or even $50. As others have stated it will certainly replace the 5, the 5 will no longer be made, and the 4s might not even be made either, the 4...that may stay as the free phone.
