iPhone 5C or 5S?

What software feature did the 5S get that the 5 didn't via iOS 7? Sure, "features" that have to do with hardware like Touch ID or the Camera stuff....but I can't think of anything my 5S can do that my wife's 5 can't as part of iOS 7.

Apple does well with supporting devices. And most times, the reason a feature isn't supported isn't Apple's fault - just simply a limitation of the older device's hardware. Airdrop for instance - the 4S and 4 don't have the proper BT chip.

It isn't purely hardware, but the fact that the it's not good enough for Apple in the name of user experience. Slow motion is disabled on the 5 even though there are third party apps that can do it. People have hacked the iPhone 4 to enable Siri and the iPhone 3G to enable Video and Voice Control.

They really aren't shaped all that similarly either. The 5C is still flat on the back - the 3G/3GS were curved. IMO, there's no comparison other than both were made with plastic.

The 5C is the better feeling of the two. I have both and like each for different reasons. If they could make a metal version of the 5C, I'd be all for that.

All that being said - the 5S is just about the best looking smartphone out there. Seriously slick.

I don't know when I saw it in the store the other day it just gave me 3G vibes. And yeah of course the 5C is better. I agree though the 5S is beautiful.

Ya, I guess if you just saw each one might think they are more similar than they are.

The rubber meets the road when you actually hold and use the 5C. THEN you find there is little comparison.

Both are great phones. Looking forward to the larger 6 this year as well!

I didn't hold it as my carrier had it bolted to the display. I was just looking at it from the front. The 3G was a cool phone in its day and my first iPhone. I'm going to the Apple store tomorrow so I'll have another look at it again. I want to have a look at the air as well. The last time I was at the apple store the iPad air tables were too busy to have a go.
