Also, what makes the 5S so much better?
Can anyone who has either recommend which one?

Actually not .... The bigger difference is the grip and the shape.
I like rounded shape much more than iPhone 5/5s edges, and I think iPhone 5s is too thin.
5c still is a thin phone, but it is just perfect.
This is why I went with the 5C. Hate the ultra thinness and hard edges of the 5/5S phones. I work with my phone in my pocket and am convinced that a 5S would easily bend first time I hit the edge of a desk with it, or hauled something heavy resting against it.
The 5S is a find piece of jewelry, but far to fragile.
If you really feel the iPhone 5c like a galaxy s3 I strongly suspect you didn't touch it ....
Well, thanks everybody for all of your help.
I was intending on getting the 5C due to price, although I preferred the 5S. However, apparently yesterday was the last day of Best Buy's sale, the iPhone 5S was for sale for $124, instead of the regular $199. I had already planned on spending $99, so it seemed like a better option to go for the better and more preferred iPhone 5S, since it wasn't out of my price range.
Thanks again for all the help and suggestions. I love my 5S!
The 5S of course! What's $25 more dollars?![]()
It's not as fragile as you think. Youtube has drop tests between the 5s and 5c. The 5s is not as fragile as you think.
I'm likely upgrading to a new iPhone today. I currently have an iPhone 4.
I'm considering the iPhone 5C or 5S, leaning towards the 5C, due to the cheaper price.
My question about the 5C, is since it is a plastic finish, does it seem to overheat more when charging, or just be a problem in general? I also don't know if the white color or the blue one looks better.

I own the 5c. It is considered the "cheap" iPhone but it is still a quality apple product and I do recommend it when people ask me. The plastic does not overheat even when doing extreme gaming. I like the blue because the white is just plain and dull(also I have the blue).I'm likely upgrading to a new iPhone today. I currently have an iPhone 4.

+1
The galaxy s3 feels like garbage compared to the 5c. The 5c is brilliant for plastic. After a year and a half of use on my gs3 the silver sides had pretty much rubbed off and the black was showing through. Samsungs build quality is laughable at best. The S3 feels hollow compared to the very solid 5c.
That would be the best combination currently. I'd even settle for 5C internals if it only came in all black.I'd like to have a 5c with 5s internals and black color.

You made the right move, no regrets in a month like if you would have went with the C. Congrats.
The 5C reminds me of the 3G in design. So far my favourite design has been the 4. I think the 5/5S is the best in terms of looks. Depends on how it holds up for me, meshes with accessories as to whether it will overtake the 4.
Go with the 5S. It is Apple's flagship and most current iPhone model right now and will be good for at least another 3 years.
The 5C is essentially last year's 5 but with plastic casing and a slightly improved front camera is all. All the internals are identical to last year's iPhone 5.
The 5C might be current and up to full speed right now, but next year when iOS 8 is released, it will almost certainly get left in the dust on a couple of features. The hardware inside will be 2 years old by that point.
The 5S, on the other hand, with the A7 and M7 processors and 64 bit CPU, will still be quite capable of taking advantage of most if not all features.
Actually I think 5C is much better build than 3G.
If history is any indication, even the 5s will get left in the dust on at least one feature next year.
I don't mean in terms of build quality, I just mean the shape and design.
