just softner and regular soap powder

I have buried the phone in Rice in a plastic tub for the night hopefully this will work otherwise i might try the house insurance:)

Make sure its a new bag of rice. People often use one thats been opened and this wont work as the rice would have already become saturated with moisture its pulled from the air.

Fresh bag of rice, see what happens but I doubt your gonna get it working again. A quick dunk in water and rice will work but a full wash cycle. Its an insurance claim jobby.

AppleCare wont cover it, only apple care plus.

Rice is not going to work now, since the OP already turned it on. The idea is to get it completely dry BEFORE you turn it on, because running electricity through wet components causes shorts which damages the parts. Once damage is done, there's no reversing it, no mater how much you dry it.
