Yea the decals are really cool, i got a white carbon fibre one which i would imagine looks pretty smart with a white phone in the case. You could try my suggestion from before but take the phone out first and put a band around to pull the sides in a little and tighten it up. Might try it with mine if it gets any worse, it doesn't bother me at the minute but if it gets any bigger and lot of crap starts collecting then it will annoy the hell out of me,lol

Giving serious consideration to the black on. I have read that it is the only one that doesn't wear as quickly. I am currently not "liking" the case I have. My cell helmet clear yellowed significantly, so I put my old ip5 commuter on, and I remember I didn't like the bulk. I like the look of this case in black with the space gray 5s. Might buy a decal too.
Yeah I agree. I would think about seeing if I could exchange it, but I would assume another case would just do the same thing. Like you I can live with it right now.
I have been using this case but in color black, in the exterior it looks perfect, no wear, i have 2 months with it, the only problem that i have had is in the inner part, when you take out the phone you can see that the inner leather (the part that wraps around the metal ring) it is flaking, and when the phone is in the case you can see the flakes between the aluminium bezel and the leather ring.
I highly recommend it, it's the best case i've ever owned for any phone to be honest. I had a 5C for a while and had a Spigen neo hybrid on it which was nice but nowhere near as nice in the hand as the leather case. The decals are awesome too just makes it stand out a bit. I got mine from luckyskins, couldn't find anyone in the UK who sold them but only took 7 days to arrive so can't complain. As for wear, i've only had it a few weeks but i haven't noticed any issues with it as of yet. I like it that much though that if it did start looking a bit worn i would buy the brown one, think it would look good with the space grey.
Bought the black one, and really LIKE the feel of it. Just ordered 3 decals from lucky skins too. Very impressed by it.
Nice, which decals did you order if you don't mind me asking? thinking of getting some more but not sure what would look best with black. So far i've got the retro logo, white carbon fiber and brushed metal.
The retro logo is my favourite so far i think.
Got the brushed metal, white matte and silver metallic. I am giving the white to my wife as she just got the brown case for her white 5s. She loves it too
I'm using the brushed metal at the minute, looks cool. I was surprised to find the decal is textured, assumed it would just be glossy but the brushed metal has a nice textured finish to it.
This and the case in the original post is wearing as it should and darkening. It is not the pigment wearing away. It is aniline dyed leather and this is what it does.
Should they move to a different type? Perhaps. But they didn't and if it does not suit you, don't buy it.
I would have to agree to stay away from official Apple Iphone cases. The quality just can't compare with other 3rd parties out there. Which is sad since they could totally capitalize sales on it. I don't understand how they can create great products but the accessories are rather weak in design, protection and versatility. I love Apple products, unfortunately all my accessories are from 3rd parties ordered online. Nothing would please me more than to just simply pick it up at my local Apple store. It's great that we have forums like this to help share our experiences with one another to help make selections easier and more cost effective.
Well i don't know about that, i just got a refund on a $100 handmade wallet leather case after they sent 2 with faults on them.
Back to using my Black Apple leather case and am wondering why i bothered. May get a brown one now to swap occasionally. Great cases and worth the money.
anyone else here think the buttons are a little tough to press?? Is it just me?
They're actually quite pleasant to press. All you have to do it take the phone out of the case and press the buttons a few times. That'll make it better.
