Went to a local Radio Shack today to ask about 5s on the 20 and pre-order. Was told they will have the 5s on the 20 and be taking pre-orders on the 13 for the 5s. Not my favorite place to shop but they are one of the only places within 50 miles of where I live.

What do I have to lose by coming in on the 13 and trying to pre-order (or reserve)?

Thank you for the FYI. I just got off the phone with the local radio shack in LA and they are creating a priority list to reserve one.

What is the point of being snarky? I just do not understand why people feel the need to come back with ******* comments to questions or concerns that people genuinely have. Does it make people feel better to make such condescending comments?

It does. Especially when someone gets third hand information on a widely questionable topic that seems to conflict with EVERYTHING out there already.

The real question is why people can't stand the thought of waiting in line for a device they can't stand the thought of not having on launch day?

And if you believe what the AT&T rep told you, I have some land in Florida to sell you. Top notch stuff. No inspections allowed though... just trust me...

I realize it's fun to get your hopes up, and that you WANT to believe that the AT&T rep wasn't just trying to do anything possible to have to NOT explain the "why nots", but that's just not very realistic, and is well deserving of every response it gets, snarky or otherwise.

If I post a transcript where a rep promises to hand deliver me a 5S at work on launch day, what should I expect, a bunch of "Congratulations!"???

Snarky. I would hope so...
