I own both iphone 5 black (yellow screen) and iPod 5th generation silver (cool screen). To me, yellow screen is easier to read and clearer compared to the cool screen. Just my 2 cents.

I did a survey also. I discover that most of the iphone white has cool screen while Black iphone has yellow screen. I think the reason is to compensate the contrast it creates from the black front. Any thoughts?

Other way around for me. Dad has a perfect blue black iPhone 5 and I've gone through 3 white iPhones and they have all been yellow. This is actually making me want to go back to black... but who knows. :/

So I just upgraded to a 5s from a 4 today. I gotta say im a little disappointed my 5s screen looks kinda yellow compared to my 4. Are they all that way? just curious.

Pro Tipp: Don't compare screens, compare it to a piece of paper.
Actually, put the phone on a white piece of paper.
Since your screen is a light source, it'll always look different.

Never compare two screens. All screens are different.
Two laptops, your main monitor. If you place them side by side one will always look yellow.

Try it out, you'll be amazed.

If you place a Lenovo next to a MacBook Air, they look totally different.
If you only use one at a time, you won't notice.

It's not a big deal unless you want it to be ...

My 5 was cooler which was awesome, my 5C is a little yellow but from all the phones I looked at it's the new norm.

My 5S is a bit warmer than my 5 but looks better.

It also lacks a weird motion/pixelation issue I've seen in a lot of iPhone 5 models where you're able to see a pixelation effect when moving your eyes, or when something is moving on screen. Hard to explain it, but several 5s I've had (replacements) had the issue, as well as store demos. They don't all have it though.

Yes, I noticed this immediately! It's luck of the draw. I've returned 5 phones already. Apple's fault for charging double the price of everyone else. If I'm paying it, I expect one with a good screen. That motion/pixelation/interlacing issue is distracting to me and simply not present on a good number of other phones, at half the price.

Yes my 5 and my 5s had a little difference between warm an cool ,my 5s is more yellow than 5,and 5s screen is like more smooth pixel than 5
