This is happening to me with ESPN Scorecenter and with Numbers

I posted a video

I find it odd that its happening with numbers since it's an Apple app. And I had the phone replaced but still having the same problem with the replacement. full story here:

Thank you so much! So it happened to more than just us two people so far. I'm thinking its an iOS problem, exclusive to iPhone 5s' since it doesn't seem to be dependent on specific hardware.

Have y'all experiencing problems updated to 7.0.1?

Make sure you did as it was released after the phone launched.

It happened to me with numbers on 7.0 and 7.0.1

I stopped using scorecenter and installed sportacular so that's not a problem..... But i depend on numbers a lot so that's going to be an issue for me until this gets fixed.

Same thing happened to me tonight while pulling down notification center, blue flash, springboard restarts. Have had the 5s since day 1 and this is the first time. since there are a bunch of us having it happen, I'm hoping its software related and not a hardware issue.

Resprung: respring: restarting the springboard.

Didn't think it needed too much brains but I guess I was wrong.

Just experienced this while downloading an app from the App Store. Reminded me of BSOD on windows!!!

That was def a first on an iPhone ( owned every iteration since 3G ) !

Phone details :
Verizon : 64 GB : 5S : Space Gray : 7.0.1

It happened to me last night. Just slowly scrolling through my Facebook feed, I didn't have any apps running in the back, when all of sudden my 5s cuts off and goes to a blue screen with red like pixelated vertical lines which led to the automatic system reboot or respring. Is there no other information about what this means or how to prevent it from happening. I'm worried it will happen and not come back on when I need the phone the most.

Not everyone here has jailbroken and/or knows what the springboard is to begin with. Granted, that's no excuse, given that Google exists and all, but still.

Have had this happen a few times already, never with any other iPhone I have ever owned. My diagnostics log has about 40 items listed, but I am assuming most of them are from apps not updated to iOS7 yet. How's everyone else's diagnostics log look?

I had the very same happen this morning, ironically soon after I read your post.

My 5S 64GB on 7.0.1

I opened the apple camera app and it crashed right away, the screen had the vertical lines as you described, and then the phone rebooted itself.
I hope that this is just a software bug.

Wow... The number of people that are experiencing this have quite grown a bit since I've made my original post! This is something that Apple really has to correct in a future update if it's a software problem.

I haven't had it happen since then, but that doesn't make it happening any better. Especially since so many other people are experiencing it too.

It is highly likely that it would be fixed with a 7.0.x update before the 7.1 update is released.

All iOS 7 bugs will be fixed right before the release of iOS 8 and then beta-testing will resume :) How times change! Android is much more stable now than iOS.

Mine has also done this once. Was browsing in safari and just turned blue and rebooted!

So about two people in this thread, unless I missed a few, have stated they're experiencing this issue and it immediately means Android is more stable than iOS?

I don't think a more generalized statement could exist.

OP, what troubleshooting have you done?

I think this is an iOS 7 issue, I've been on it since beta 1 and I've had it happen about 5 times On my iPhone 5 (Not 5S). Ill get random colored lines running up and down the phone then ill see the apple logo (like its rebooting) but it will quickly come back to the lock screen. Basically like a respring. I dont remember the last time its happened though, I dont think ive seen it since I installed iOS7 GM. BTW

Wow that couldn't be farther from the truth... have you been on an android forum recently? Android is riddled with bugs and people are running all kinds of different versions depending which hardware manufacturer they have... so its a slew of different bugs....

Add me to the list, although my phone is now on constant bsod/reboot loop now.
Not happy

Happened to me while on a call, resprung but my call came back and was still connected, weird.

It's happened to me twice since launch. Once one call and the other on pandora! It's kinda pissing me off! I hope they get resolved ASAP or I'll be returning it until this and the battery issue gets resolved! It never crashed with the betas nor was the battery life like this with the 5 with a smaller battery! Kind of annoying when a beta is better than a gm that's already been updated!
