Honestly It comes down to the situation. Ive used the Nexus 5 and have had great shots with non moving objects with great lighting, on par with the iPhone 5S. Things suddenly change with less than ideal lighting and moving objects, the iPhone 5S really begins to shine there.

The Nexus 5 camera isn't terrible, but i find it to be hit or miss, with the iPhone 5S being more consistent.
