Does iOS 8 on the 5s feel slower at all compared to iOS 7, or does it feel the same/faster? I remember using iOS 4 on my iPhone 4; when iOS 5 came out, it didn't really slow my iPhone down, but iOS 6 definitely slowed the 4 down.

When I got the 5, iOS 6 was blazing fast; iOS 7 was not too bad.

5s came with iOS 7, my 5s on 7.1.2 works and feels fast, but am worried that Apple will 'degrade' performance with iOS 8.

Because of the possibility of a performance degradation, I am waiting to upgrade to iOS 8 until I personally try out a different device with the iOS 8 upgrade and deem iOS 8's features worth any performance degradation. I do not like to sacrifice speed unless iOS 8's added features are worth it.
