Ridiculously tall. They should've shrunk the top bezel.

While I'm inclined to agree, lets be honest. If they shrunk the top bezel everyone would be saying "I'd be fine with a larger top bezel if they'd just put in a damn bigger battery."

So maybe they used that extra space appropriately.

Watching this video in 2x speed on YouTube shows you how fast the animations in iOS should be.

Why is it impractical? I've seen a couple reviews saying how great it is and will become second nature you won't even think about it.

His thumb can't reach to the icons or screen on the other side. I don't know the size of his hand, maybe its freakishly small, but it looks fairly average sized to me. Not to mention the ladies with smaller hands.f

And wow, those bezels and antenna lines are horrible. Otherwise I do like the lack of branding on the front.

Not really. The way Samsung did it is they literally made it so you can shrink the screen down to a small size for an extended period of time. Absolutely terrible. Apple's use of it is actually practical, takes a second to do and then goes back to normal after.

You just have to redo the gesture to restore the screen, very easily done one handed. Swipe in about an inch from the edge and out again and the screen shrinks, repeat and it goes full screen again. Samsung's implementation lets your thumb reach all the way across. I'm surprised with Apple's pedigree of "it just works" that they didn't get this one right.

They will never do those thick lines.

5.5 doesn't exist, there hasn't been any leaks!

Apple would never make a phone that big.

They will never use the term plus, that's so tacky!

WTF, protruding camera? That's not Apple.

Did I forget some?

Yes. They said the 4.7" was going to be too big, and they want another 4" phone so they can text and fit the phone in their pocket.

Everybody that has said all of those, has clogged up the system buying the 5.5".

Antenna band on the gold iPhone 6---ugliness to the max. Def not Apple like.

I'm banging my head on whether to go with the 4.7 or 5.5. I had the note 3 and it looks kinda big with the case on. I just wish the 4.7 has OIS and higher resolutions. This is so opposite of Steve Jobs...he don't like to give consumer choices.

And if the 5s is tight in some of your pants - those pants are tight. Maybe not skinny jeans tight, but def tight.
It's not so much a matter of tightness, but of depth. When I sit down with the 5S in my regular fit Levi's, the phone already touches the thigh. The 6 is 3/4 of an inch taller, so I'll not be able to sit down without taking it out or somehow squeezing it in sideways. This kills the "so portable you won't even know it's there"-factor. I'll give the 6 a try when they are available, but will likely keep the 5S for now. I'm not even considering the 6+.

The sloppiest iPhone design to date.

I can maybe - maybe make my peace with the antenna bands. But the protruding camera is just such a design flaw... Yuck.

Yeah. I think the curved design and glass is excellent. I love the more iPad looking phone and I could live with the lines (even though they are ugly), but the protruding camera means you basically have to put a case on it.

I'm case free on my 5S and will never go back to a case. So I will be waiting for the 6S in the hopes that the camera shrinks enough to be level with the case. I doubt it though. that'll be the 7. Oh well. Still a great phone!

Am I the only one feel the plus just "wrong" in every aspect?

Too much empty space in the interface ,
Too freaking tall using both hands and too freakingly wide using one,
It just looks wrong :(

First time - since I don't own an iPod touch - I've seen the wobble on a flat surface because of the protruding camera.

One of those things that might get annoying after a while, not sure we'll wait and see. I don't use a case so.....

For myself, I would have preferred the same thickness as an iPhone 5S, no protruding camera and therefore more space for a battery.

I agree with you on thickness for a better battery.

For people who don't want to use a case, I'm confident someone will quickly market a tiny "bumper" the same size as the protruding camera: Stuck to the adjacent corner, there will be no wobbling. Myself, I'll be waiting for Olloclip to bring out its case for the 6 and 6 plus.

Look more often and you may start to like it.

From the side view, note the band's perfect symmetry with the front glass.

The Plus simply is just too tall. The more I see the Plus in pictures and videos the more unwieldy it looks. Those bezels definitely needed to be smaller. How was Samsung able to fit a bigger screen and a stylus in a more compact and attractive package? Still want to see this in person though.

Apple prefers slimmer devices. The Note 4 is 19.7% thicker than the 6 plus.

That is one area where apple has always focused on and I believe for good reason.

Why is a device with a bigger display and comparable battery life a full 20% thicker? That is a pretty substantial difference.

You're not sure the iPhone 6 will be more manageable than the 6+? Really?

Yes. I really plan on judging the 6+ as an iPad and not a phone. My 5s is not comfortable to use as a productivity device. I expect the 6 to feel better than a 5s in this regard. But in the 6+, I am hoping for a better experience to get things done. In other words, I visit my 5s, I live with my iPad. I am hoping to live with my 6+.

I expect my stereo BT earphones, will be my primary interface to the phone services. For this, my 6+ will stay in the pocket. When I need to browse, game or do work, it will live in landscape mode.

I went with the 6 this time, but the more I think about this as an overall general use device, and not a phone, the more I am liking the 6 plus.
And with a their watch being able to show me notifications, which means less taking my phone out of my pocket, this makes it even more appealing.

Yes. And the watch is another tool like my earphones. It will make navigating and other simple tasks, phone-less. I am excited by how streamline this system might become.

I have to say, I really don't think that Steve Jobs would have allowed both of these design decisions. Sometimes an OCD autocrat is a good thing :)

The bands are less offensive to me now than when we first saw them, but I do notice them and cringe. The camera bulge will not become an iPhone characteristic. It will go away.

What an annoying voice, cringeworthy. And I bet he received early review units from Apple right? I'm tired of leaked parts, leaked hand-on impressions, leaked reviews, just a bunch of shady lizards trying sucking value off of something someone else created.

I know, luckily, it's on the back!

There must be a reason as to why the antenna lines are there. NFC? Even still, could of made them a bit thinner!

FWIW none of the images on Apple's site show that weird antenna!!

https://www.apple.com/anzsea/iphone-6/design/images/thin_large.jpg

https://www.apple.com/anzsea/iphone-6/specs/images/iphone6_finish_large.png

ALSO... they all show writing below where 'iPhone' is written.

Starting to suspect these videos might be fake? (Or Apple's being REALLY deceptive... or these are prototypes...etc since a 'facetime' voice call means jack all). Doesn't seem very Apple-like to have a really weird looking antenna like that!! Guess I'll know when I see one in person this Friday.

Edit:
My suspicion is they are prototypes and that's intentional because the antenna's there in place of FC approval logos...etc. I'm no engineer, but I'm guessing a prototype would not be able to use those logos because it's not certified...etc (and once certified, Apple would either want to or have to show everybody that their phone has passed all of the relevant standards).

That or they are fakes from China, where weird antennas are the norm. I'm skeptical about this weird antenna. Won't believe it until I see it.
