Camera wobble

First time - since I don't own an iPod touch - I've seen the wobble on a flat surface because of the protruding camera.

One of those things that might get annoying after a while, not sure we'll wait and see. I don't use a case so.....

For myself, I would have preferred the same thickness as an iPhone 5S, no protruding camera and therefore more space for a battery.

No solid proof. The screenshots from earlier have been debunked in another thread.

The debunking has itself been debunked. The guy doing the debunking didn't know about the existence of Display Zoom on the iPhone 6/6+ and used this as 'evidence' that it was an iPhone 5 screenshot.

They will never do those thick lines.

5.5 doesn't exist, there hasn't been any leaks!

Apple would never make a phone that big.

They will never use the term plus, that's so tacky!

WTF, protruding camera? That's not Apple.

Did I forget some?

you forgot, Apple is doomed. Steve would of never allowed that. and also, I'm switching to android.

I was hoping somehow the antenna bands would look good in the final version.

I guess not.

Yeeeeeah; it looks pretty bad. I thought the same thing about the 5 when it came out but I've gotten used to it and actually think it looks good now but the 6 looks real dumb based on this video.

Not really. The way Samsung did it is they literally made it so you can shrink the screen down to a small size for an extended period of time. Absolutely terrible. Apple's use of it is actually practical, takes a second to do and then goes back to normal after.

Umm - have you actually seen the Samsung version? It seems more practical to me. You can actually interact with the whole screen instead of the bottom half disappearing into some black hole.

So nobody noticed that it only has 5 app rows and is supposed to have 6? Or that he says its an iPhone 6 and it's clearly an iPhone 6 plus, it's huge and has the one handed feature that's exclusive to the plus. The home screen is not right and the os is not snappy. If this was a true review unit I'd cancel my preorder. I don't care about the FaceTime audio call its a fake.

The double tap one-handed mode "feature" is something that many here would have mocked had it been a Samsung feature on a Galaxy model.

In fact, it's so ridiculously gimmicky yet impractical that it's exactly the kind of thing Samsung would do.

Actually it's all about implementation. Samsungs implementation is horrendous, shrink the entire screen into the bottom corner of the display? Apples implementation allows a very simple tap on the home button, pulling the stuff out of reach down to your thumb, and then quickly moving back up after making a selection.

Samsungs implementation defeats the entire purpose of a large screen. Apples doesn't, it simply allows you to reach stuff that's out of reach, and continues to give you the large screen experience after tapping whatever was out of reach. The difference is ALL in the details, as is always the case with Apple products.

Agreed. This version is super tacky based on all the images and this video.

Yes you forgot:

Apple is doomed.
Nobody will buy iPhone 6.

I appreciate the video, but would prefer not to hear his pedantic commentary about the antennas bands. Maybe he's unaware that is reserved for petty forum whiners that have nothing better to talk to about.

That is quite a mess of icons. As the screens get bigger, it just looks messier and more cluttered to me.

The zoom doesn't make the top bar equal the 5S screen ratio. No one knows until an official review comes out or ifixit does the tear down.

Seriously that is the worst hands on video I've ever seen. He has the device in his hand, but instead of showing you, he just talks about it.

I love when people say things like this so casually and off handedly, having no concept of or concern for the million other engineering implications.

Again NOT TRUE - It is just a swipe gesture you have to do, you can enable and disable it as fast as on the iPhone.

half screen on iphone 6 (not plus)

up until this video i thought double tapping the home button for half screen was only for the 6 plus

interesting to see that it's on the standard 6 as well

Oh goodness... another gesture to remember, have to try six times and repeatedly mess up. Superb.

Definitely sketchy he couldn't release RAM. Even if he just said it instead of showing us.

That second video is worrying

Look at the lag when they rotate the screen. That could be very annoying in practice

Since they were shooting onto a table, the iPhone's screen was facing upwards. When your iPad is flat on a table with the screen facing toward the ceiling, turning it from portrait to landscape won't change the orientation.

Usually we use our iOS device with the top facing the ceiling instead of the screen.

You just did the same thing. The irony.

Seems legitimate; please hold whilst I call the queen of irony to verify...
