Use my phone at the gym three days a week no bending yet, i do squats two days out the three, my phone stays in my front pocket don't want to put my phone down somewhere and risk it getting stolen. But then again I have two cases for when I go cycling or to the gym. This one and the Spigen tough armor. Apple leather case, and Air jacket force for other occasions.

No need for hopeing people phones will get bend, just to prove that the phone will bend with out knowing why and how. Sorry your phone bend and u have no clue on how it got bend. I hope u it got your phone replace, I am not one to judge and I am not going to start now, the way I use and carry my phone has work out for me so far no bending yet.

Also u know most people are going to say people with bent phones abuse there device, because of there own experience and the amount of bend phones compared to the ones that doesn't have this problem. I believe Apple will make the future 6/6+ a lot stronger, remember antenna gate with the iphone4 they correct the problem right? No company is perfect that goes for Apple as well. And even with all the drama with the bendgate iOS on the iPhone is still one of the best smartphones out there.

Could apple have made the iPhone 6 more resilient? Sure the could, and I am sure they are going to with future phones. But until then like the millions who haven't had this problem, what are they doing differently to keep there phones in good shape? From the ones that is experiencing bending? Guest we will never know. But I think the only solution to this problem is for Apple to make the phones more sturdier.

You shouldn't have to put your iPhone into one of those butt-ugly monstrosity cases in order to prevent it from bending.#

All of my phones are in cases. Not worried about bending in as much as dropping and damaging the screen.

Mine's in a case too, a nice slim-fitting leather flip case that compliments the looks of the phone. I don't see the need for those thick armour-plated monstrosities, you should either be more careful or leave your phone at home if you feel the need for one of those...☺️

I am an admitted klutz. #

Well if u would pay attention to where I say I only use the UAG & Spigen tough Armor when I am out cycling or working out at the gym. I am not going to use my Apple leather or Air jacket force case when I am out in those environment. I had a spill when out cycling and and roll on the side where my phone was, my phone was still in perfect conditions thanks to my UAG case, don't think my Apple leather case would have protect my phone. Because I fell pretty hard on my phone. These are the cases I use when I am not out cycling or at the gym.

Not going leave my phone at home when I am out on a 50-70 mile bike ride.

Cases are for the weak. Caseless is the way to go. Nobody puts a case on their cars, yet at any given moment you could get into an accident. I COULD drop my phone and shatter the screen, but there is a great chance that I will not (since I've never shattered an iPhone in my life and I've owned every single one).

No cases are for the smart, like for example every iPhone that I have own I got top dollar for them being in excellent condition. Can't sell a phone for for top dollar if it has scratches all over it.

I got top dollar for the iPhone 5S and I didn't use a case. I don't have a case on the iPhone 6 either. Has nothing to do with being smart or dumb.

When was the last time you saw a car case for sale and that would protect it from crashing?

Car analogies are bad enough when they work, and this one does not work... At all. You might as well have said "no body wears a helmet in public to protect themselves from a direct hit from a tank shell" since just like the car case analogy, it doesn't' actually exist. Phone cases do exist, do protect from drops that would otherwise break the phone and are practical. While there may be reasons to NOT use one, the lack of car cases isn't one of them.

So u sold your 5S for top dollar with scratches all over it? Good for u, and yes I think it is smart to protect my investment with a case. For my life style it is the smart thing to do, for example I was out cycling and had to make a last minute decision to avoid being hit by a car. Fell from my bike because of it and my phone took the brunt of the impact. And I was surprised to see my phone still intact, and in great condition. Thanks to my UAG Maverick that I use for the gym and cycling. And also I was responding to the post that said cases or for the weak. And to be honest I think that was a pretty foolish thing to say. Knowing the millions of people out there that use cases on there smartphones.

I never stated that it had scratches all over it. It is possible to keep the phone in like-new condition without using a case.

If your squatting with your phone in your pocket you must be wearing clown pants!

Having keys in my pocket during heavy squats is uncomfortable enough never mind a phone.

Yeah I know another bent iPhone thread. Well I had to share my experience.

I got my iPhone 6 on release day. Since then it has been in a very protective case. Yesterday I see that my iPhone is bent and I couldn't believe it. I like many of you thought that everyone who had a bent iPhone was either a troll or used excessive force. Well I can honestly tell you that I babied this phone from the very beginning. I have had every single iPhone since they have been released and have never had any screens broken or any bending. But my 6 is bent. I went to the apple store today and they told me it was accidental damage and I wasn't eligible for replacement. They told me to call customer service and see what they say. They told me all they can do is have me send in my phone and let them look at it. I am beyond mad. I paid very good money for a phone that bent and I honestly don't know why. Everyone's phone that is bent is bent in the exact same spot. How can Apple say that is just a coincidence?

My question is what should I do? Send it in and be without a phone for a week or two or just live with my bent phone? Do you think Apple will ever recognize this is a problem and actually start replacing phones like mine?

I'd try a different store.

You may have more luck with a different manager?

I also baby my iPhone 6.

So much so that it detracts from my enjoyment of the device!

However, I'm pleased I bought AppleCare+ because of this reason, as well as the other obvious ones.

Good luck, and let us know how you get on ...

A lot of people are going to accuse you of having done something to bend it so why bother creating this thread?

Because he's angry/upset that his expensive device has bent, even after babying it?

Negative people like you make me sick, and you are all too common here on MacRumors!

Well I don't whare clown pants, but my sweat pants is pretty lose fitting just the way I like it. My keys for my gixxer1000 has my GoPro remote on it so I leave that in my locker. also my sweat pant is designed with one of pocket on the side of my quads so that's where my phone rest.

My iPhone 6 bent as well. Apple Support said that it was no normal force on it. Yes.. My taut round thighs are monstrums... So hopefully other People complain about it, too..

That may work with your lifestyle but we all aren't the same. Imagine that....

While backpacking a phone is too critical of a device to chance breaking by going caseless. I generally leave it turned off tucked in my pack but even then I've needed to toss a 40-60lbs pack filled with hard object over or across something. If you are 20+ mile hike from civilization and get hurt with no means of communication you are in some serious trouble.

That applies to any outdoor activity that requires a means of communication for safety. I wouldn't let my gf go running without a phone on her and running without a phone in some sort of case or band is just silly/awkward.

If the iPhone is your only means of critical communication, shouldn't you have a backup phone?

Just be polite and be persistent. If your phone looks like trash, it'll be hard to exchange it. But just walk in and say

"Here's my phone. I'm not trying to create a scene or drama.. Its bent. We both know this is an issue on Apples part. don't tell me any excuse you were trained to say.. the phone is bent. Kindly replace it for a non bent phone and thats it. Please"

Be firm and persistent. Ive gotten apple to give me free stuff before because i refuse to take no for answer.

They just made 70 billion dollars. Trust me, your phone can be replaced. :apple:

Here is the other, air jacket force

I had one, the most anti friendly case ever. I had to PRY the case off. it literally would not come off my phone..

Yea. If I went camping I would get a very rugged case and 3 portable charging sticks. Thankfully I have a few of those already. Better be safe than sorry.
