If this is true then SERIOUSLY Apple, stop making iPhones any thinner and beef up the battery!

Bigger screens allow for bigger batteries (although they also draw more power). The battery could get bigger while the phone still gets thinner.

If you had to choose iphone thin with 20% better battery or iphone normal with 100% better battery what would you choose?

We don't went thinner iphone, it's thin enough.
We want better battery !

Every year it seems like the "new iPhone" rumours and leaks start earlier and earlier.

Can't wait for a bigger iPhone. Apple needs to steal Samsung's way of dealing with the larger Note 3 screen. You can swipe from the edge of the phone and back and the phone will reformat the screen to be smaller. You can then adjust the size to whatever you want. A pretty innovative way of doing it.

The phone can't get too much thinner than it is now. They are kind of limited by the size of the headphone jack. Unless they go to a proprietary magnetic headphone jack which would be cool.

This site is assuming that isn't the power button on the side. Perhaps they will drop the mute switch if the casing becomes too thin to get it in there and replace it with a software toggle instead in control centre

Perhaps the 2016 redesign will bring thinness as the lightning port and the headphone jack will be moved to the the lightning cable, sort of a 'Y" adapter. They already do that with the HDMI video adapter. the line-in through the old dock connector is how iPods get audio out to vehicle systems too.

even thinner, with a 2 hours battery life ?
Have J.Ive and his team consider that this decision may reduce the gripping ability ?

I want a super thin big screen iPhone!!!!

(And then after having it die by lunchtime on three consecutive days, I will get a three-inch-thick Morpheus case that weighs 5.9 pounds for it.)

Shhh, get that common sense and logic out of here - quick! Before they see you and pounce!

Seriously - the battery capacity has gotten bigger with every release even as the iPhone gets thinner. People thinking they could increase the battery life 100% by leaving the phone the same thickness as even the 4S don't know anything about lion batteries.

Apple's reworked battery chemistry, designed their chips to be as powerful and efficient as possible and iOS is made for efficiency. You really want your iPhone to last more than a day, get a mophie.

Some of us like our devices sleek and slim. And personally, I have no problem with battery life. Heck - the iPad rMini is thinner than the iPhone 5S (by .1mm) and it gets FAR more battery life than my iPhones.....ha.

I feel like I see 2 of these stories every day. We need some original content or something.

The edges of the case are round, but not too round like those ugly iphone 6 imaginary designs underneath.

Not sure if this is a joke or not, but I actually do know people who still use and prefer their 4s because they like the screen size. Hopefully they at least keep producing the 4" model.

It was not a joke, I prefer smaller phones. I do like big screens in general, but I dont want it on my phone. The current iPhone 4/4S size seems perfect for me. If only they could fit a slightly bigger screen without making the phone bigger (maybe with no bezel at all?).
