lol @ all the people saying 'No' yet will be first in line to pre-order on launch day

Interesting, if underwhelming concept. Too close to the Xperia Z, but worse.

I actually feel the Xperia is a handsome phone that eschews most of the iPhone's feminine appeal. I feel the iPhone 4/4s was the more beautiful of the Apple phones. iP5 was a step backward, in my opinion, with the 5c inducing nausea.

I can't wait to see what Apple does with iP6, though. There's only so many ways you can interpret a rectangle.

Not that I'd get one, unless they change iOS 7 significantly (and we can all expect that to not happen).

Yes! I want a phone where my hands are constantly touching the screen so it can't ever know what I want to actually touch. BRILLIANT!!! /sarcasm

Except that apple has parents on tech to recognize and ignore unintentional touches. They use it on the iPads.

In april Apple freeze the design of iphones. So i think they already have 2-3 design and based of what htc one/s5/sony has they choose. S5 in design is not much but because of htc one 2014 ,apple must improve the design, output audio and move to the kindle display that has more than 16 mil colors

Oh, I am making too much comments on this new whatever. Samsung is the only company that makes a decent amount of money from making Android devices, and Samsung has a big market share in Android and they are the only company that can race with Apple in terms of sales, this is why MacRumors do not care about Sony, HTC, LG etc. I think...

As a Note 3 owner I don't believe Samsung will stay at the top forever. I've seen companies like Sony, Motorola, Nokia, Blackberry, Palm and Microsoft all be at the top yet they have fallen so far because they ignore the competition and they don't change according. If history tells us anything Apple will soon follow this same path again; it's not a matter of if it's when.
This will not be Samsung's year. I believe HTC will make a comeback while LG and Motorola gain momentum. I'm not loyal to Samsung because I don't put my eggs in one basket. If someone makes a better phone than Samsung I will give them credit. Macrumors failed to do this today.

NOPE...

I'll give a reason for this OPINION tho. I just really don't believe the camera tech is good enough to make the phone thinner. I may agree with the mockup if the recently found patent for a removable lens on the camera is incorporated, but making it thinner will only reduce the camera quality. Of course there are better cameras in phones than the iPhone, but I don't think Apple will take a step back in the interest of making the phone thinner (although they do like to say stuff like "20% thinner")

And where do the antennas go?

As nice as all these mock-ups look, as much as I want to have a full metal back, there's a reason why the first, and now the current iPhones had a band of plastic/glass on the back.

I don't see how any mockup that completely ignores that deserves to be posted.

So this is a mockup of someone's best guess based on particularly weak and unsubstantiated rumours which tells me...nothing.

As for this rendition those sharper corners look uncomfortable for a larger phone.

I haven't really liked the iPhone design since the 3GS. The 4, 4S, 5, 5S and even this squared concept really aren't that exciting IMHO. Don't get me wrong, technically I like them all - they work just great. I just haven't really cared for the design that's all. Just flat and sort of boring. Don't care much for most of the other phones out there either so it's not just Apple. I liked the way the 3GS felt holding it. Round works IMHO.

Looks good. I hope they drop the two tone approach and go with one solid colour front and back. An all red/blue/gold/black/white/etc iPhone 6 would look great.

Not appealing to me...I prefer the current form factor.

But what do I know? I'm just one of those old folks who should be using a Jitterbug!:p

In your iWatch :D

Would be great if they go with the once mentioned teardrop prototype design.

Otherwise pretty sure Ive will screw the next iPhone and then the next OS X and then leave Apple with head held high.

Love Apple, but no 17" MBP, Strike 1. iOS 7, Strike 2...

First time when I want to quote a signature. Exactly the same feelings.

Looks like a Xiaomi Phone..

Meh, lack of imagination to the max, take what others have done and put an apple logo on it. Nice renderings though, stick to that as your design skills are NONE.

It should be be curved or pear shaped, like the phones on shows like iCarly. That way, it can have a 5" screen, yet every part is still available to your thumb :D

Or... Apple could enable trackpad ability in the fingerprint sensor (an ability which they noted in their patent), and then your thumb can stay in one spot, yet reach the entire screen, no matter what the size!

authentec-trackpad.jpg

That would give the user a one-handed option.

(Half kidding. It really would be useful with a big screen. I'm a little sorry that HTC dropped their optical trackpad that the Incredible had. I could scroll like crazy while barely moving my thumb.)

Can't see it happening myself. Too bland and the curved corners are so iconic to the design now, it would be like getting rid of the home button.

Getting rid of the home button would actually be a good thing. Make the entire surface of the phone a large screen, as well as a fingerprint sensor. Then, individual apps could be launched with fingerprints, such as a mobile banking app that requires enhanced security. Also, so many others (ahem, Samsung) have copied the look of the iPhone, that shaking up the design sans-home button would be a curve ball thrown at them. Would they rush to copy the new button-free design? If so, they would look foolish...

When the iPhone 6 goes into production, we will start seeing leaks coming out of the supply chain. At the moment, the design is likely still being finalized, and we do not see leaks coming out of Apple itself very often. When we did see leaks, it was a prototype device being left at a bar, or another public place...

I'm sorry, but this looks UGLY! iPod Nano like? Seriously? This lame iPhone 6 "concept" looks like a toy made for teen-bobpers or teen-bobpers wannabe. Like, Oh my godddddd!
