I've just ordered one of these :

Ultimate Shield.

It does indeed offer 'edge to edge' and even goes around the home button.
For £9.99 here in the UK,, you can't beat it.

If you check out the link and look at one of the pics, they do a comparison with other well known brands like Zagg, Bodyguardz and Spigen and the Ultimate Shield trounces all of them. ;)

Will post pics once it arrives next week!

Well, my Ultimate Shield arrived the other day and first impressions were, that it is quite a good shield! It has a small narrow black border which goes around the edge of the screen (the white colour has a white border). The shield also covers the area below the home button however, I will say this - there is a slight overhang of the screen shield, all around the edge. With a case on the phone, this overhang would not be visible but its something to think about (you can see the overhang in the screen shots below).

Something else which I have noticed as well. The touch sensitivity of iPhone screen, seems to have diminished very slightly - especially in the top and bottom corners of the screen?! I am not sure if this just down to the extra thickness of the shield (which means you will need to press down harder) but I have certainly noticed that when I tap on items in the four corners of the screen, I quite often have to tap 2 or 3 times before the screen actually registers my tap ( I had NO such trouble when using my Spigen flimsy style screen protector before). Again - this may just be me - perhaps I am used to the light taps of the plastic screen shields compared to the added thickness of a glass one however, if this continues for the rest of this week, I WILL be removing the Ultimate Shield and just revert back to a normal plastic style flimsy type screen protector as it is becoming annoying!

Anyway, here are the pics (taken on a current gen iPod Touch!):

I've had the black Ultimate Shield on my iPhone 6 for two weeks now and haven't noticed any issues with the screen sensitivity at all. This is my first tempered glass protector and I've been using a variety of plastic ones before so I would have noticed any difference. Maybe you got a faulty one or something...

I'm very happy with it so far. The oleophobic coating is fantastic so finger prints etc barely show at all compared to the plastic protectors and combined with the Power Support Air Jacket case I have it works really well as the case covers all sides (so you don't notice the overhang).

Do you happen to know if this works with the Apple leather cases?

Thanks.

Yeah I have the black Apple leather case as well so I just tried it and the protector started lifting in the top left. I'm surprised as I thought it would fit ok but the Apple case must grip the edges further in than the PowerSupport Air Jacket does.

Damn, I hoped this would've been the one to use w/ Apple's leather case but no. Waiting continues.

Thanks for confirming.

I'm in the same boat, just waiting for the perfect screen protector!

I did put it on in a rush so maybe with a little more patience, getting the protector perfectly aligned, and maybe a bit of manipulation of the leather case you might get it on but as soon as I saw it lifting i took it straight off!

I'm guessing fit wise it's pretty similar to the iLoome protector where some folks had luck with the Apple cases and others saw it lifting.

...just as an update to this - I WILL be removing my shield this weekend - the constant issue of my phone not registering my taps is SERIOUSLY getting annoying now :mad: I had NO such issue with my Spigen flimsy style protectors (of which I have 2 left).

The phone may look gorgeous with the tempered glass shield however, for me, its at the sacrifice of touch sensitivity, which I am not wiling to trade.

a BIG thumbs DOWN for me, for the 'Ultimate Shield' - certainly NOT, 'Ultimate'. :(

It could be the adhesive. The first batch of imos Solid EX 3D Corning also has the same issue. However, after adjustment of the adhesive, the new batches are close to perfect. (provided it's installed correctly)

Send it back and request a refund or replacement under their warranty period. Mine is perfect so you definitely got a bad one...

I bought mine off Amazon and not directly from Ultimate Shield's website but have just emailed them (from their website) too see if I get a response!

EDIT - UPDATE:

Just now received a reply from them:

I would like to test their product. Aegis is also making one like this. I only worry about signal loss and thickness.

PM me so I can contact them.

Thanks

Got an additional reply from Ultimate Shield - they're sending me one of their Titanium screen shields (as in the pic I posted above) to try out and put up a review on here!!

Initial impressions from the screen shot they sent me is that it looks quite bulky compared to their standard Ultimate Shield series, but I guess I will see when it arrives.

;)

What're your thoughts on this?

I'm using mine right now with Apple leather case, no problem whatsoever.

 I might contact them and see what their return policy is like and if it's good and they'll let me return if it doesn't fit, I'll try it out! Thanks for letting me know.

Has anyone tried this protector?

I had a friend with the regular non edge to edge and it was very nice. I am hoping for the best. It will be delivered to me on Thursday and I will post impressions.

Got this and have it on the phone. It does not have the curved edges so that is a problem. It does have adhesive for the full back though. This is good and bad. It will probably collect a good bit of dust around the edges. It is crystal clear though and went on very easy with no bubbles or halo around the screen. That was my big issue with the Tech Armor or others with adhesive only on the screen portion. It is a touch on the thick side IMO. I am comparing to a thinner plastic protector though. It just makes the home button recessed a bit. It does not work with my UAG case. That case lifts the edges. I have a Spigen Slim Armor on it now and that fits perfectly with no gaps around the edges. The Spigen actually seals the edges. It probably is not a solution for most as this protector has many of the issues others have complained about. I personally like it with the Spigen case though. The quality of the protector is very nice. The Oloephobic coating is very good, the clarity is great and I like full adhesive.
