I've heard this "slippery" comment a few times, and I don't get it. My Plus doesn't feel slippery at all. In fact, my hand kind of "sticks" to the back and find the "grip-ability" to be great. Maybe I'm some kind of a freak though.

Yes. Very easy to slip. I think apple care is necessary, I checked it in store slipped when I tried to put it back.

Got our new iPhone 6's today....proceeded to have it slip out of my hands 2 times.

The 3rd time, slipped out of my hands, onto the desk and then onto the floor, cracking the glass.

Lucky me

Don't have Applecare because purchased from AT&T. Usually I buy it within the first week.

Anyway, went to Apple store....really weird policy right now....because normally they would try to replace just the screen, but the equipment isn't in yet. Weird though that to have a device replaced it was only $109. Thought for sure the minimum they'd charge me would be the old screen price of around $269.

Needless to say, I picked up a case on my way out ;)

Photos of that cracked screen. :)

Could you have called Apple and added AppleCare + ? Or do you have to do it in store with the phone in hand?

If only I was drinking!

No, I'm not one to blame Apple, it's my dumbass fault. But the 6 is really slippery to me compared to the 5 (which I went caseless and did drop 3-4 times with no issue).

I think with the 6 having the glass towards the edges and slightly protrude....any drops will likely result in broken glass.

Oh well....live and learn. Least it only cost me $109.

I suspect the round edges don't create as much friction against the skin as a sharp edge does hence it slipping out of the hand more easily. Looks kinda nice but needs a case IMHO as a result.

I went to the Apple Store and got an iPhone 6 128gb in White, I've been using a lot and it's not that slippery, but I've also bought a silicon case for it
