So you must never need to charge your phone?

Well, hypothetically :D
I generally get 10-12hrs of usage which is about 2 days between charges with no battery optimized settings. With the 6 it would last at most 8hrs if i was lucky with optimized settings (mostly everything turned off).

Simply because it's larger, not because it's different/better in some way. A larger battery attached to a 6 would make it last just as long (if not longer probably).

I was referring to just battery life, not the entire phone being better since they are almost identical. From my experience the 6+ battery life is significantly better than the 6, for me that makes it the better phone. Others might value portability making the 6 better. Its personal preference.

I understand. But basically the battery life is longer simply because the phone is larger and allows for a larger battery which in turn lasts longer by the nature of being larger. It's not that the battery technology is better in some way or anything like that. Simply something that is an effect of the phone being larger.

How about those of us who must say "don't put it in pockets".[TE]
It doesn't matter to me, I was only commenting on those that use the "don't fit in pockets" comments. Our 11 year old has a 4.5 and could easily fit a 5.5 in his pockets. Reular fit jeans, no baggy pants or cargo pockets.

I think most functional pockets are designed so that one's hand can fit in there, otherwise how would you remove the content? There for it is safe to say that the iP6+ will fit in an adult's pocket.

But when people say the phone won't fit in their pocket properly, I think they mean when they sit down. Imagine owning pocketable thing that has to be removed from pocket before sitting down. It's quite cumbersome in many people's opinion I think.

I think they are just being overly dramatic.

I just happen to agree with them. I think it may have to do with your body type and the type of clothes you normally wear. I am fairly fit, and I don't like tight fitting clothes or loose fitting clothes. I can have an iPhone 6 in my pocket and sit down in my car to drive without any problem. The 6+ however is a different story.

But I can imagine if I am a bigger person wearing similar fitting clothes a 6+ would be less noticeable when I sit down with it in my pocket.

And if am the sort of person who wears pants around my ankles, I could probably fit a few 6+ in my pockets.

You just made my point, this is a truly ridiculous comment.

The 6 plus is 3 inches wide. Anyone that claims that would not fit in an adult's pockets is being dramatic, period. It would fit in my 11 year old's pockets, regular fit jeans, end of story.

Adios.

I think there is a difference between fitting and being able to carry comfortably. You can get a tin of Baked Beans in your jeans pocket if you stretch it out far enough. It often depends on the type and fit of the clothing. At the end of the day if you have a Plus and are fine with it then it doesn't matter what experiences others have or what they think. You are not going to convince people who have had different experiences or tastes and this goes for the regular iPhone 6 too.

The 6 plus feels a lot better in the hand than other phablets I've used in the past e.g the Galaxy note series and the LG G3. In comparison to those phones it's light and compact.

I haven't used the 6 at length so I don't know how it compares to the plus in terms of performance. However the larger, higher resolution screen and excellent battery life make it well worth carrying around that 'extra bulk'.
lol. The 6+ may feel better in the hand than the Note, but to say it's better than the LG is ridiculous. The design of the G3 is amazing. In fact, I'd venture to say that it's closer to the 6 than the 6+ size wise. I'm a gamer though and the G3 just got too hot so I had to return it. If it had a 1080 screen I'd still have one today. Now I have the 6+ and while I enjoy it, the handling of the phone is much more cumbersome than the experience I had with the G3.

The G3 does well in terms of ergonomics however I didn't find it that comfortable to hold. The 6 plus feels better in the the hand. Granted I only owned the G3 for the days before swapping it for the S5, so it may have grown on me in terms of in hand feel if I'd used it for longer.

Ip 6+, better battery life, better screen , better camera, . Also, I hadnt experience any lag issues on my 6+. is faster than my prevoius 5. Will Ip6+ get more software updates than Iphone 6?:apple:

Is it? Who made that official then? The 6 Plus has to downscale so actually the 6 Plus is a tad slower than the 6.

Ahh yes of course, i must have misread your comment. I If apple gave either phone a major unfair technological advantage it would be quite foolish on their part

Well they have really because the 6+ has to do more with the same spec, hence it isn't anywhere near as smooth an experience as the 4.7" version.
I actually think that there would be a valid argument in making the plus model more capable than the standard sized iPhone. Firstly, I would say that the majority of people who opt for the plus variant do so because they like to do more with their phone than the people who go for the smaller model. They have a trade off in portability in order to achieve more with their device, would that not be a fair point? Some people have bought the 6+ with a view to it replacing their tablet and becoming more of a consumption device than merely a portable means of keeping abreast of things until they get back to their tablets and computers.

Samsung's 'phablet' Note line is more capable and has better specs than the premium smartphone they sell, the Galaxy S, so why can't Apple do likewise? I think most people who buy the 6+ expect identical performance to the 4.7" version, but end up being shortchanged. Sure they get a larger screen and longer lasting battery, but it comes at a price other than just reduced portability.

I defiantly agree with you, but i was referring to major upgrades between specs of the two. For example imagine if the 6+ had 2gb and the 6 1gb. Apple could have easily given the 6 2gb without drawbacks. Again if they come up with a ingenious new battery and implement it to one phone but not the other of the same generation would be silly. I want to say that one phone should not be neglected in technology to the other.

The plus should have been more capable as you say with a bump in cpu clock speed, an extra core or other improvements to bring performance on par. These changes would not be viable for the 6 because of battery life and other factors. The bump in specs should be justifiable.

Can't believe you guys are still debating this in a post that was created less than a week ago.
