It's like a bunch of kids have hit MR. "My phones better than yours" "no my phones better". Then the endless threads justifying their purchase to reassure themselves..

This is nitpicky, but the photo from the 6 on that site has more noise in the ground and sky than the one from the 6 Plus. The windows on that Tower are also clearer on the 6 Plus. The camera on the 6 isn't bad at all, but it seems like the OIS makes it that much better.

It is, but if you think about it another way, you want to have a phone you can easily whip out with one hand and shoot your target with the same hand as opposed to possibly reorienting or holding the phone steady with two.

Also OIS is most definitely not unique to the 5.5'' formfactor and Apple could easily throw it in the non-Plus in the near future. You'll have to think about whether you would be willing to spend time to adjust to that 5.5'' form factor and later maybe come to the 4.7'' in the future?

For me, it the portability just makes sense over the nitpicky details of the OIS.

I've been playing with my 6+ since receiving it this morning, and I'm loving the size more and more. No regrets!

Bought an iPhone 6 Plus ;)

I held both the iPhone 6 and Plus prior to purchase (I was the first in line)... and wow the Plus was just too big for my taste. i'm loving the iPhone 6

I agree. I wanted the 6+ way before the Apple event. But now that I've seen the 6, that's the one I want. I'm just not impressed by the design. The colors looked washed out, even the gold compared to the gold 5S. Why is that?

I love my 6. I only use my phone while out of the home. When Im home I'm on my iPad or soon to be iMac when I buy one. While meeting clients and need bigger screen the iPad 4 gets used for that too.

I visited an Apple Store yesterday and handled both of the new iPhones. Design-wise, I think they are probably the sexiest iPhones yet. The rounded edges reminded me of the very first iPhone, only significantly thinner. However, that also means they feel extremely slippery. There just isn’t much to grab onto. Even holding them flat in the palm of my hand they felt slippery. I predict a LOT of naked iPhone 6s are going to hit the ground as owners lose their grip on the slippery devices. There’s no way I would own one without having it in a case. Not so much to protect it during a fall, but to PREVENT the drop in the first place.

The 6 Plus is ridiculously large. Even with the Reachability feature (double-tap the home button to bring the top of the screen down to about the middle of the screen) it just feels awkward because it’s so darn wide. Stretching my thumb to reach the far side made it feel like I was going to lose my grip on the phone and possibly drop it. My fingers didn’t feel like they had a good grip on the opposite side of the phone as I was stretching out to reach the far side of the screen with my thumb. For me, the 6 Plus is simply not a device you operate with one hand. And that means it’s not a device I’m interested in owning.

After handling the 6 Plus, the non-Plus 6 felt much better. It is amazing how much difference the loss of 0.8 inches makes between the 6 and 6 Plus (4.7 vs. 5.5), yet, the 0.7 inches difference between the 5S and 6 (4.0 vs. 4.7) doesn’t seem quite as overwhelming. But the far corner of the 6’s screen still felt like quite a reach with my thumb. It’s definitely useable with one hand, but just barely. And without the need to double-tap the home button to drop the screen. ‘Reachability’ is nice, but it would annoy the heck out of me if I had to double-tap regularly just to use my phone.

The 6 Plus is definitely a Phablet. I can understand the attraction of the larger screen, but I feel the better solution (for me) is the 4.7-inch screen for on-the-go use and an iPad at home.

I don't plan to buy either one anytime soon. But if Apple had made the regular 6 the same thickness as the 6 Plus (thus increasing battery life) AND incorporated the optically stabilized lens into the regular 6, I think I'd be upgrading to a 6 right now. I'm not going to be carrying around a Phablet just to get the features I want. My iPhone 5S is the best smartphone I've ever owned, it still works flawlessly, so I can wait.

I have a 6+ on order, but after seeing both in person I'm pretty sure im canceling the + order and getting the 6. The + Is a super nice phone, just looks too big to me, almost silly big.

I'm finding the 6 to be the perfect size but I've yet to handle the plus, which I'll do in a few months when it's more available. Just wished battery life was better, that's the only thing I'm not impressed with, I thought it would be better as its not that much better than my four year old iphone 4 with a four year old battery in it.

How many hours have you gotten out of it on a full charge?

I got it about 6 last nig and by 12 it's was at 5%, today I've had it fully charged about 3 hours ago and I'm down to 75%, no video watching, mostly Internet useage... I don't think this battery in the iphone 6 is all that great.

Not interested in the 6 or 6 Plus.

The last thing I want is a phone that requires 2 hands to use, and even the 6 is too big for my hands - thumb can't reach the top left at all without loosening my whole grip.

I'm sticking with my 5s, hoping by the time the 7 comes out there will be a size that enables 1-handed use.

A number of women I spoke to said the same thing, although most men seem to be ok with the 6.

Personally I can't see the point of the 6 Plus - to me if I need a larger screen far better to grab an iPad mini.

Double tap the home button and it'll bring the apps on top down for easy one hand useage, I find the iPhone easily used with one hand but any bigger and it could be an issue, for me.

Must try that...I guess it just takes some getting used to a new habit.

I've used both, the plus isn't as bad as I thought it would be but I opted for the 6 as for me it's fine, and I'd rather spend the extra money on more storage as to me it's more useful.

I agree with u. There are many times when I only have 1 hand available, and a large phone simply troublesome to type msg. When outside, I need my phone to be portable else I can just use the ipad.

But this forum as too many ppl trying to justify their purchase of iPhone 6+. Some say just get use to 2nd hand typing while some say they can still type with 1 hand.

I have no idea why so many people are bias with people who use iPhone 6 instead of 6+

I actually feel like the iPhone 6 is too big. I know I"m in the minority here, but I've had Android phones and the 6 did not magically produce a large screen while feeling like a small phone.

I do not consider the 6 to be one-handed. I do not feel that it is more one-handed than any other phone of its size. I actually find no difference in one-handedness from an even bigger phone, the HTC one m8.

The Moto x, which has the same screen, feels much smaller and is the only 4.7" phone that I consider one-handed.

Obviously I need to figure out a way not to care about one-handed use. If I don't give up one-handed use, I'll be stuck using a 5s forever! I've used large Android phones exclusively for months and never appreciated the larger screens except for watching netflix. I got 'used" to 2-handing, but I was never pleased about it. My usage patterns kind of changed--I didn't use the phone as much! I told myself that the future is 4.7" phones, so I best get used to it or else not own a smartphone. Nevertheless, I went back to a 5s, I was immediately more pleased b/c of the form factor alone.

Maybe next year I'll make the leap to a larger screen.

I've used both for a day. I definitely like the screen on the plus better. Screen on battery life actually seems pretty similar. But I am choosing the 6 because it just feels great.

It basically feels like it was designed just for my hand. It's almost hard to describe but it just feels good, like something that I would enjoy taking everywhere I go and using all the time. The plus feels like a brick in your hand and just isn't very comfortable. I will miss 1080P, but for the overall package, the 6 is where it's at.

I tried both at the Apple Store, and I feel the 6+ is either too big or too small...

It's certainly too big to be used comfortably one-handed, and I have big hands. I can do some stuff one handed, but I have to switch my grip to move around the screen or I have to overstretch my thumb to type. So, it's not a very comfortable experience.
Yet, the screen is too small for most of the use cases where I need a big screen. It's too small to read comics. It's too small to read books in PDF format (epub is fine on the 6+, but they're also fine on the 6). Moreover, the 16/9 screen is too wide, so for PDF I lose a lot of screen space to display gray bars. For these, I will keep my Nexus 7 which is about the right size.
I guess the only use case where the 6+ screen is good is to watch movies. But I think even a tablet or a computer screen is too small to watch movies anyway.
