They used to make that kind of "dummies" for that rumoured "teardrop"-shaped iPhone 5, too. Case manufacturers do not always wait for Apple to reveal privileged information to them before starting designing. They just happen to follow the same (often unreliable) rumors as us.

So take this with a grain of salt...

Just a small clarification; this was the potential iPhone 4S (the fifth iPhone). We had a bunch of legit leaks for the iPhone 5, IIRC.

Fake ! Apple would never release this!

Jk

Lol I can the person who said they won't buy it please tell me what they're next phone will be and why you're leaving the apple ecosystem?

You're stuck! Hahaha

I'd rather have an iPhone that looks like an iPod touch, and with better color choices.

While I do agree with you to some degree, Porsche has been doing this for awhile now with their cars. I guess Apple thinks they're getting closer and closer to an ideal design...

What else should they do to the design of the iPhone? As Jony Ive said himself, when designing the iPhone "everything defers to the display, a lot of what we seem to do on a product like the iPhone is getting design out of the way."

The iPhone is basically a touchscreen you hold. The enclosure just needs to house a rectangular touch screen and feel comfortable. So what honestly do people expect? Change for the sake of change, which is nonsense and goes against every Apple value. You can tell the people who cry for changesake are the ones who haven't been following Apple for long, or don't get their values.

Despite this, the DETAILS is always what distinguishes Apples designs. Like the iPhone 5, the diamond cut chamfered edges and precision matched glass inlays (as well as the material quality) was what really took the iPhone 5 design to the next level. A blueprint or a phony case leak isn't going to give away any of those details. Wait until we see the real thing.

I guess Apple is content with that same stupid hardware design. Like their iMacs.

I guess they go through a few versions and just settle on a 1 version. Forever.

Troll...anyone calling the imac a stupid design should have their brain checked!

Get some putty, plug these holes because we have another leak!!!

Oh wait, Apple ran out of putty. So much for doubling down on secrecy.

Microsoft has LOTS of putty left over from when they used to smear it all over windows to fill the cracks...

I generally find that "stupid design" uttered in an Apple context = VERY badly disguised jealousy, and deep-seated insecurities of the utterer.

And just what is wrong with the iMac?

Besides the thin for no reason design? Besides it still looks the same when I'm facing it as the thicker models, so what's the point? The iMac was redesigned for redesign sake. Don't get me started on the inefficient design of the Mac Pro aka the Mess of Wires for Pros.

No way, Apple is getting rid of the dual flash... This design in this picture does not make sense...

If the amazing design is lost on you, that's perfectly okay with the rest of the world (but evidently not with you).

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but Apple are a design-centric company; they experiment with designs and construction methods in certain areas, and if successful, carry some of those design cues across a broader range of their products. I'm not too sure that Apple Inc are losing too much time stressing over your dislike of their product aesthetics - why care so much? :)

I agree with your analysis and remember Apple is still sells the most high end smartphone versus any other brand. I've owned the Galaxy S4 and all Iphone, I can tell you in terms of design and finished product, nothing replaces the metal and construction of the Iphone. People who say otherwise are just full of themselves...

But they still WORK right? Or did you just need them look right?

Yeah but at the time, people didn't know there would be a 4S. The rumored teardrop iPhone was referred to as "iPhone 5", even though the actual phone ended up being called 4S.

I am willing to bet this is not what the Iphone 6 will look like... There are NOT getting rid of dual flash, makes no sense...

The new iMac design runs far cooler and cuts down on a lot of useless crap that was in the inside of the old one. Just look at pictures of their insides, the new one is far more efficient.

It's no good... it's. No. Good! Logic is lost on the argumentative.
