Thank you for the responses, they have been useful in making my decision. I have taken the plunge and gone for the Plus this time. I'm sure I'll like it, can't wait.

Congrats! I too was on the fence for weeks. Rather than buying both, I just kept visiting Apples stores to play with them. Started thinking the 6 was the only option, but then, after a few visits, the Plus did not feel so big. The Plus has been great, and my iPad use is down quite a bit . . .

I actually struggled with this as well. The feedback I get from friends who have gotten the 6 Plus is that although it is awkward at first within a week carrying it was fine and the bigger screen and bigger battery life is worth it so I took the plunge and got the 6 Plus.

That's what I'm hoping for out of the Plus, is that I don't feel the need for the iPad quite so much. With me I first looked at both I thought never to the Plus it just looked so huge. Then last time I was in a phone shop they had a Plus out and I thought, that doesn't look all that big anymore. Then when I came to buying another phone I just thought maybe the Plus will be better suited to me. Reading people's experience I believe it will be just as I hope it to be.

For me it was the exact opposite. After a week I no longer could tolerate the large size as it is really awkward unless you have something other than your jeans pocket to carry it in. You could wear a jacket but what happens when the weather warms? I think for this reason the 6+ is really well suited to people who have either a purse, a man purse or a backpack or something else to carry it in.

Whoop 6 Plus will be here tomorrow. Case came today so had small idea of what it will be like.

Cool! My 6 is supposed to show up tomorrow too! Hopefully they out for both of us. 🙂

One piece of advice, you get adjusted/acclimated to the seemingly overwhelming screen at first, and when you do youll be really glad still. The 5.5 inch 1080p panel on the 6 plus is a stunner

just a piece of advise - don't get overwhelmed by it's size. give yourself some time and it will grow on you and you'll even love it more. at first it will look soooooo big but just relax, sit down and enjoy it.

Had my Plus for around half a day now. The thing is big but I like it, this screen is amazing. No struggles with it so far when I left the house today.

Alright! Glad it's working out for you. It is a brilliant phone.

Unfortunately for me FedEx completely dropped the ball. Oh well.

Cheers, it sure is. That's a shame dude, hope it turns up soon. What model did you go for?

Yea, it's disappointing but I guess I'll live. Thanks for the kind wishes.

I ordered the 6 in white/silver. I probably could have gone with any of them really. I know you ordered a 6+ but I don't recall you mentioning which color. Or I could have missed it?

Nice, I went for Space Grey same as the 6 I had. I like the black display, I just wish Apple offered an alternate rear colour like with the white. My favourite was the slate but that was so easy to scratch. Every Apple device I've owned I have managed to keep pristine except my slate iPhone 5.

I feel the larger screen increases my overall experience with the phone. I think its helpful in using the apps. The downside is of course carrying it, i.e., in your pocket or where ever.

You can't have your cake and eat it as they say. The positives for me out weigh the negatives.

Agree. I am thinking to change from my 6 plus to just 6. I cannot put it in my pocket.

I was undecided. Played with both in the stores for weeks. Was still undecided, but ended up settling on the Plus. No regrets whatsoever.

Yes the bigger form factor does take a few days to get used to but once you do get used to it, you will feel like you are carrying around a mini computer. This is not to say that you are carrying around a mini computer, but you will feel like you are. On so many levels the Plus is the superior phone, not my opinion, just the way Apple intended it. As one example, I downloaded the Microsoft excel spreadsheet app (free version) and it was not bad, not as good as working it on an ipad obviously, but for the 6 Plus it is manageable. I could not imagine working that app on a screen smaller than 5.5 inches.

I won't even mention the obvious two advantages to the 6 Plus and the numerous benefits that these bring over the 6, but its the little things like being able to view your home screen in landscape mode and have your email and SMS apps with the two panes.

If you're intending to keep your next idevice for at least two years, also have one eye on the future. If momentum continues about Apple introducing split screens to the iPhone, you don't have to be Einstein to know which phone that will be.

Well after just over a week with the 6 Plus I couldn't be happier with my choice. The 6 Plus is just awesome, having this amazing display on hand just makes it so useful. Certainly isn't a burden to carry around either. Glad I just went for it.

I am glad you are happy with your choice, that is what it is all about. 🙂

For me the only deal breaker for me on these fantastic devices is the size. Battery life isn't a factor for me and many on the other thread because I charge my phone every night and the 6 holds up fine throughout the day. The Optical stabilisation on the camera is always a plus point when buying a digital camera (i.e DSLR) but in practice with these devices it comes out pretty equal against digital stabilisation. Unless you have serious hand shake, then a steady hand will produce identical results. The screen is slightly better and for those loving their screens I can see this being a factor in favour of the Plus.

All in all they are pretty much the same phone but differing in size. If you can handle carrying the Plus in a bag or in large internal pockets then great. I carry mine in my trouser pocket or shorts pockets in the summer. I imagine those with the Plus that have been in the depths of winter since these were released will be finding alternative carrying methods come summer when coat and jacket pockets are no longer ideal. This of course may not be an issue, I am simply guessing. I always advise people to go and handle these phones before they commit because a couple of people I know have returned them due to portability. That is all there is to it. 🙂
