People need to watch the consumer reports video. While they aren't the toughest phones out there, no one's pocket is exerting the 90lbs of force necessary to cause the 6+ to bend.

I don't have a plus but this bengate has been blown out of proportion. But then again it's apple, there's always a trade off for being the best ;).

iPhone 6 Plus in pocket

I don't have a problem. I got the phone this past Thursday and I've been taking caution. I had some jeans on that had some kinda shallow pockets. I didn't like how the phone felt in them so I avoided putting it in there. The next challenge was going to work. I wear wrangler cargo khaki pants at work since I work for walmart, but the phone feels great in the pocket. I keep the screen face against my leg. I was doing some bending/squatting down today with it in my pocket and it felt fine. I did have a little paranoia but honestly nothing is going to happen. Just like another member said have common sense. I've always had the routine that when i sit down i take my phone out and lay in table, always have with my 4s and 5s. This is something that got blown wayyyy out of proportion and like another member said only 9 phones out of 10million? Yeah we're fine lol

U dont bend the phone so easy.
Hè made over 15.000 dollars with his youtube clip.
Propz to him!
The phone is even stronger than the 6 normal.
So dont worrie!

No bends. I don't wear tight pants nor loose pants (mostly Hilfigers, some Levis straight models), and I have no issues with fitting it inside my pocket standing or sitting.

All of these issues are dramatically overblown.

People keep quoting 9 phones out of 10 million but you do need to remember that the 10 million figure includes both phone sizes and also includes all the pre-orders that people haven't received yet. Having said that, the 9 reported bent phones will still be a minuscule percentage of the 6 pluses out there. I've had the plus since day one and I've had no issues at all despite carrying it in the front pocket of my jeans.

Get a grip people. Just go about your normal live's. I have had my 6 + since launch day and always put in tight jeans pockets. Don't sit there worrying about it bending in your pocket. It's is just a phone. My phone is completely straight. The phone does not bend that easily

Like others, since day 1 been in my front pocket with my wallet. Phone against my leg, screen inwards. No issues at all.

As long as you aren't stupid (back pocket sitting on it), or a youtube whore bending it with your hands deliberately for cheap fame, you'll be fine.

As already discussed, this has been blown all out of proportion. Apple are the leaders and people are constantly trying to find faults, whether they exist or not.

I always keep mine in my front pocket. Zero issue with bending. Stop worrying and enjoy your phone :)

Alright. Thanks for all the advice. I feel a lot more comfortable with it in my pocket now!

To add to other people's advice, accept the fact that if it should bend Apple will not replace it for free.

That way you're both able to enjoy the phone without worrying about it all the time (as others have suggested), but should something happen to it anyway you know what to expect (which once again reduces uncertainty and stress).

In the end it's just a device, easily replaceable with a bit of money. Put more effort into making sure your data is safe and backed up. You can't get that back if its lost.

oh it becomes too easy to fall out (large portion of the phone sticks out)

Im just trying to show that even though everyone keeps saying to just not sit on it or don't use the back pocket, sometimes there are specific types of clothing where that is unavoidable

Well don't wear scrubs, or don't sit on it while it's in your back pocket, it's up to you.

Well, the lady at the Apple Store managing the queue for the preorders had her 6+ in her back pocket. Likewise, many Apple employees had their phones in their pockets. So I guess it's a location approved by Apple for its staff (or they get free replacements or marketing from Apple instructed them to specifically carry their phones in their pant pockets - who knows?).

Had mine in my front pocket since I bought it. Been getting in and out of the car etc, no problems

I have been carrying my Plus around in the back pockets of womens skinny jeans for over a week. Does it look kinda stupid? Yeah. Has my phone bent? NOT AT ALL. I think this is a stupid, lame urban myth. My phone is encased in either a TPU or Apple leather case but I doubt that makes a lick of difference. I take it out when I sit down because a) it's kind of uncomfortable and b) it's just a dumb idea. I don't put it in a front pocket (have never done that with any iPhone - they just doesn't fit in size 2 jean front pockets). Use some common sense, people, and you should be just fine. If not, Apple has terrific CS which is why I continue to be an enthusiastic customer (most of the time, anyway...)

People keep quoting 9 phones out of 10 million but you do need to remember...

You also need to remember that the quote comes from Apple, not from an independent expert or from a court of law. Moreover, Apple explained that the it's the guru that determine whether an iPhone is bent or not - so, it's extremely easy to doctor the numbers. It's like quoting a dictator saying that 99.999% of the population approve him...

1.) I shouldn't have to change my clothing style just because I'm scared a phone will bend....there are plenty of other phones you can sit on and not worry about bending so why should I have to now because of a structural flaw?

2) If you have ever worked in health care you would/will know that wearing scrubs are inevitable (some hospitals even require a specific type of scrubs to be worn that only have pockets in the back)
